Purdue was picked 11th in the Big Ten, barely ahead of Penn State & Northwestern!

And Purdue fans were grumbling, some even wanting to unload Matt Painter - even as recently as Christmas, people were calling to fire Matt Painter!

But all Painter has done is take a bunch of lesser heralded players, turn them into a very good team
Purdue is tied for 2ND in the Big Ten - have won 7 of their last eight, beating numerous ranked teams..
They are a fun team to watch and can play with teams whose talent was ranked way higher.

Two skilled 7 footers and excellent defense will win a lot of games. Painter has done a great job with that team considering non conference losses at Vanderbilt, and at home to North Florida and Gardner Webb.
