We need the AD before we hire a coach though and there isn't any reason to fire a coach until the season is over.
I absolutely agree Lefty. The last thing we need to do is go into a panic mode and create more problems on top of the ones we already have. It's easy to say, do this, do that, when it's somebody else's money, or somebody's responsibility to handle it.
It started with the leak from somebody within the Board of Trustees or a university employee that Dr. Cross had been fired. It was leaked before the university authorized it and who knows, maybe before Dr. Cross was told (that will probably become the next defense in the leak). It was then put on this message board and then spread to the one at the Journal Star and who knows how many other social media outlets from twitter to facebook. It was then taken down because the university requested it be taken down.
With the way this has been handled so far, if I was in a position to apply for the athletic director position and Bradley, I would probably have to decline from it. The official hiring process hasn't even started and we can't even get the firing correct. People are mad at the Journal Star, they are made because the university didn't announce it sooner, they are mad for it being put on a message board, they are mad because it was taken off a message board. Everybody is mad at everybody. The sole blame in my opinion, lays at the feet of the person that leaked the information, before it was to be released. None of this would have happened and we still would be replacing the athletic director, if the leak didn't occur. That is a fact.

Ok you leave us no choice. We are removing you as a candidate for the AD job!!
Everyone knew that MC was going to leave Bradley after JG "retired". Everyone knows that Geno will not be coaching here next year. There is no reason to fire him until his last game, likely Thursday in St. Louis. Ideally, the AD should be hired before the new coach. After that we can have a wake for KaBoom and wait for the announcement of a new coach.
Sure, maybe we could have a section in the athletic museum in the Renaissance Coliseum and label this area "Retired Mascots" with a brief history of their service to Bradley.

Hey guys...I think all of you are being a little hard on Tornado. The "leak",if there was one, doesn't bother me one little bit. This leak could have even been an "on purpose" one. Leaks happen all the time. Don't forget, we BU fans have really put up with a lot for the past several years, all with no response from the BOT. We have been loyal, have attended bad basketball games against no name opponents, have given our money to the University with nothing but scorn from the administration in return and now you guys think this board did something
Wrong in passing on information to these beleaguered fans.
After years of expressing our concerns, the BOT is finally taking some action that may put our school back on track.
I agree 100% with Tornado and I know I am supported in this by hundreds, maybe thousands of fans.
So, get off your high horses, stop bitching and let's pull together to insure that this rebuild job is completed in a timely and successful way
