  • PJS Dave Reynolds on UE game

  • #2
this stands out IMO..............Webster and Strickland had 15 rbs between them and seemed to control the boards during the game last night! But guess how many O' rbs they had for the night..................only 2! Say what you want...but this is a huge #...........to hold these 2 players to a low of 2 O' rbs is a job in itself...somebody had to be boxing out!

      Great article by Dave.

But the photo that accompanies the article is a tremendous picture! It shows Zach blocking a shot by Strickland. The picture is not lnked on the PJS site.

The nicest part of that article was reading that Webster, Strickland and Holsinger were all Srs. and after this year we won't have to play against them!

Did anyone else notice this announcement on the PJ Star web site:

            "EDITOR'S NOTE

            To our readers

Due to a major server failure early Saturday morning, we have temporarily lost data, including all of our Web logs, on PJStar.com. We hope to have the problem resolved early next week. Until then, please pardon our dust. "

            Could something be up?
I have noticed some strange thing since the announcement that the Peoria Journal Star is going up for sale.

First, several editorial writers seem he**-bent on condemning certain people for looking into buying the PJ Star even before it is even confirmed that anyone is actually a prospective buyer.
It appears that the very people writing for the PJS are condemning certain "unnamed buyers" for trying to acquire the paper to fit their agenda.
Little do they realize, that the AGENDA of the PJS writers is showing.
If they are good, unbiased journalists, then what does it matter to them who is going to buy the paper? Or are they saying they should have the right to veto who buys it?
Are the writers worried that their cushy jobs are in jeopardy? Are they afraid the new buyers might try to make changes, cut costs, eliminate unnecesary things like message boards??

Now they have a crash of some of their departments?
And they don't have any pictures from last night's game online?
            Hmm......wonder what's up??
