#1 seeds are projected to be Kentucky, Virginia, Duke, and Gonzaga.

Joe Lunardi has both Wichita State and Northern Iowa as #4 seeds, and UC Davis as a #14 seed.

Also, Illinois is listed as a #11 seed, one of the last teams in, playing in the play-in round

CBSSports.com's Jerry Palm also updated his bracket projections Monday, Feb. 16, and his picks differ slightly-
CBS Sports is helping you get ready for March Madness with the latest news, picks, and predictions for the 2025 NCAA Basketball Tournament Bracket.

His #1 seeds are the same- Kentucky, Duke, Gonzaga, and Virginia.

Northern Iowa is a #4 seed, but he has Wichita State much lower as a #7 seed. He also had UC Davis as a #14 seed.

Palm has Illinois out and Purdue in the preliminary round, and he does not even list Illinois among his first 4 out.

with their disappointing loss now many have Indiana out of the 68 team bracket - but don't be surprised...

and I guess I am stunned that Lunardi has Colorado State in..
this is a team that scheduled very poorly - the classic "beat the code" team as Eustachy's teams always are....
They are the 4th team in from the MWC which isn't any stronger than the MVC!!!
.. their nonconference SOS is around 100 with teams such as Mercer, Missouri State, Pacific, Northern Colorado, Denver, Ark-Ft. Smith - al of which are RPI around 250 or higher or are DII.
They also have six more 250 to 340 RPI teams that they played in conference which lowers their overall SOS even more to about 120 (In-conference SOS=152!)!!

If they get in then ISU has a gripe!

Colorado State is 3-3 against the top 50 and 5-5 against the top 100. Those numbers are better than any of the so-called bubble teams. ISU is just 2-7 against the top 100. There is no comparison between the resumes of those 2 teams. BTW, CSU's SOS is better than UNI's...

CSU's RPI, SOS, and top 100 record are also all better then Boise State. They should be #2, not #4, from the MWC. If they all get in, the seeding order should be SDSU, CSU, BSU, Wyoming.

they have 2 top 50 wins - Boise State & SDSU
both of course they were fortunate to get at home because of conference scheduling

My mistake...I was reading the wrong column...2-3 against the top 50, and 5-5 against the top 100. Still ahead of Boise State in SOS, top 100 record, and RPI. Their numbers are still better than teams like Ole Miss, Temple, Indiana, etc. An interesting note...Georgia is considered a lock but is 0-5 against the top 50. There always seems to be 1 big surprise every year. Maybe they will be it this year...

            The NIT exposes Colorado State...

lots of complaining about not getting in the NCAA but then Colorado State gets a #1 seen and a home game in the NIT
and they promptly get soundly beat by South Dakota State & their coach Scott Nagy

SDSU led by 10 most of the way and by 15 points much of the final 5 minutes
