That game was about like watching paint dry while listening to fingers on the black board while getting a root canal. I'm not even sure we can qualify for the Thursday play in game at Arch Madness. Just a sorry excuse of a game. And it's not as if ISU played a dominate game either. They have a talented roster but how often do they show up and play a whole game. ISU was very fortunate they were playing us. Hopefully after the last game of the year in 2 weeks the third and final domino "resigns".

I couldn't go but I expected this after watching the Loyola game. Nobody seemed to care and I thought then they have all called it a season
Just watching the faces and body language during timeouts, it was evident they all were just waiting for the season to get over

I think our team is bad but it's certainly not all on the players

        Dave Reynolds article-

And Kirk Wessler wastes a bit more ink repeating the obvious, that Bradley isn't very good. He vainly keeps trying to suggest the bad basketball at Bradley has been going on for "17 years", which is ridiculous. Within these last 17 years Bradley has had mostly winning seasons, a Sweet 16 season, record attendance, record revenues, record membership in the Braves Club, membership in the Braves Scholarship Society, and every other measure of success.
But he carefully avoided placing any blame, as he cowardly does.
PEORIA  — How long has it been since Bradley last won the Missouri Valley Conference? MmmBop. That’s right. Ba duba dop, Ba du bop, Ba duba dop. Just in case you needed reminding, the good folk…

We also have no new recruits coming in next year. Next year looks dim already no matter who the coach is.

I almost drove off the road coming home last night as I was listening to Geno--saying how bad we are and he doesn't know what more he can do--and his self serving comments that you could bring in John Wooden and not win more games with this bad shooting group Geez--who the hell recruited these shooters???

Terrible small & apathetic "crowd" for our rivalry game --lost to ISU 11 of the last 13 meetings (when they have been only mediocre)-- 20 plus loss seasons 4/5 years---permanent ticket punched for Thursday in St. Louis--Past time to collect your big contract check Geno--and box up your office supplies and follow Glasser & Cross out of town! Bye Bye---

oops, sorry - he dates the decline way back to 1998 - and even maybe 1996, and says both us & ISU have been bad since.
He must have missed all those loud, raucous sellouts, a Sweet Sixteen run and a dozen 20 win seasons and post-season appearances between them in that interval.

Typical kw. Try's his best to put some of the blame on the previous coach. We can all see how many empty seats there are in Carver that used to have butts in them.

Geno did say he may be the worst coach ever. Then he mentioned Joe Wooden. He is not usually at a loss for words, but he did not talk as long last night. It is too bad, as he is such a likeable guy.

I think he said that facetiously while making his point- something like this-
Maybe I'm the worst coach ever, but even John Wooden couldn't win with the shooters we have on this team.

I think Geno is the worst coach in the history of the MVC.

That would be hard to dispute looking at the record. He has a 19-50 record in the MVC regular season so far in 4 seasons, plus 0-3 in the MVC Tournament play-in games, and he lost one other game at UNI in the 2013 CIT. That makes for a combined 19-54 (.260) record against all MVC opponents. That is especially bad in view of how weak the MVC has become.
His record against MVC teams away from home is 4-34 (.105)

And some people whined and complained that 22-win seasons with RPI's under 40, and 5 consecutive seasons in the MVC without a losing league record (when the MVC was a far tougher conference) were not good enough.

Because he wasn't their first choice.

I sat and watched 20 dunks as they goofed around-- realize these are uncontested dunks -- I can do that in my driveway too. I watched ISU warm up on the other end without noticing any dunks. Muller sat there watching his kids warmup -- I didn't see Geno doing the same.

It looked like Bradley kids were just at an open gym showing off -- maybe they should be taking the shots they take in the game -- or practicing free throws.

There were a couple of kids taking it seriously but not many.

I heard geno say he thought the team was tight -- that team isn't tight -- they plain don't have the discipline to be tight.

Now dunking in warmups didn't lose the game but it's probably symbolic of how disciplined they are in other aspects of preparation.
It's amazing , I saw the same thing. I usually don't go in the arena until game time but last night I went inside to see how many people were in there with 45 minutes to go and saw the exact same thing. As pathetic as our shooters are you'd think they would be taking shots that they might get in a game. It appeared they were putting on a dunk show. Hell they rarely get the ball in position to dunk in a game. I'd recommend they practice layups . Lord knows they can't make them. I'd love to have a dollar for every layup this team has missed. I'd have enough money to buy one of those seats in the front row.

but didn't we pursue Geno after failing to sign any of the candidates supplied by the search firm?
Didn't our people go after him simply because their opinion was that he WAS a good coach...
If that's the case it speaks volumes for the ability of "our people" to see straight.
