Don't expect Dave to mention that in his article about the game. Apparently he does not think it is significant when an opponent is missing their best player.

He never mentioned Evansville was missing Mockevicius in his article about Bradley's win there on Feb. 7.

And amazingly, he never mentioned Missouri State was missing the league's leading scorer Marcus Marshall when Bradley beat Missouri State back on Jan. 24-

I would like to take a moment to celebrate how gratifying it has been to watch my main man, Nate Wells, go from bench warmer for three years, getting zero investment or PT.... to a 37 seconds of garbage time charity player, to occasional check in for foul giving, to contributor, to starter, to vocal leader, on his way tto double doubles. Congrats Nate. A few of us believed in you when you coaches and teammates didn't. You have an outstanding attitude and a bright future.

What I would really like to see if this all goes down as advertised (Glasser is history, Cross and Ford hopefully to follow) is for someone at Bradley have the guts to request the Journal Star to assign another writer to cover the Braves. Reynolds is a total embarrassment. His constant excuse making is a joke. This is the writer who told us how great this coaching staff was, how great these recruits were, how we were headed upward and it was going to be soon. What we have seen is the worst 4 years in Bradley basketball history! This didn't start 6 or 8 years ago as Reynolds and Wessler like to say, it started when Geno walked on campus. The bogus statements made by both are ridiculous. Wonder when Reynolds is going write about UC Davis being 17-4 and winning their last 2 games without their BEST player. You can bet if they were 4-17 we would have seen it in print.

Bradley outscored and outplayed UNI in the 2nd half in Peoria, and they have played very well in other games for 15 to 20 minute stretches. It is clear this team is capable of playing very well for stretches.
The question many Bradley fans have, is why can this team play so well for stretches of 15-20 minutes, but cannot make adjustments or sustain that quality of play for a whole game? That is one of the issues that I think obviously points to coaching, even though the PJ Star writers seem ignorant or they don't want to bring it up.
DC the answer is pretty simple as to why we were able to stay with the Wichita's and UNI's for stretches. I'm sure you've heard , sometimes teams play to the level of their opponents. That is exactly what has happened. We are so bad it's hard to focus on us for 40 minutes when in reality we might have trouble beating their second five. The end of this season can't come quick enough. What is troubling to me is if Geno makes the cut because of timing or $$$$$'s how is he going to make chicken salad out of chicken sh-t.
Who would he run off and who stays. Rumors early on had Wells and Fields graduating and moving on but IMO they should stay and 3 others should hit the road. No names but one Guard and two bigs.

I thought we should have fouled on Loyola's last possession when it was tied.
We had a foul to give and could have fouled with 5 seconds or so on the clock and make them take it out again??¦??¦

For the most part the whole bench look pretty disinterested in what was going on in the game

The crowd was also disinterested. It is a shame what has happened to the program. A change is needed. All we can hope is the Board of Trustees shows better leadership than the last time.

That would have taken just a little insight and knowledge of coaching moves....something that has never been a characteristic of this coaching staff.

                        Dave Reynolds article-
PEORIA — Bradley made a late charge up the hill Sunday at Carver Arena, but couldn’t quite get its flag planted at the top. Trailing Loyola by 10 points with 6:50 remaining, the Braves scored 15 of…

Loyola has now won a total of 11 games since joining the MVC last year (4 regular season games in 2013-14, one MVCT win last season, and 6 wins this season). 3 of those wins have been against Bradley, the only team they have beaten 3 times.

Also, today was the 19th time this year Bradley has failed to reach 60 points in a game, including 11 of the 14 MVC conference games.
Bradley's season scoring average is now 58.3 ppg, 10th in the MVC. Bradley is last in FT%, last in FG%, and next-to-last in 3-point%.

                            Scout article on Nate Wells...

one line puzzles me....an attempt to explain why all of a sudden Nate is playing...
"Wells??™ head coach, Geno Ford, said that a reason for his success on the court is because of how he has finally adjusted to the pace of the college game.

???I think the game has just kind of clicked for him..."

my observation is a bit different... Kids don't suddenly change after 4 years of college....
I think things finally clicked for Geno.
He finally realized after 4 years that Nate was better than all those other guys Geno has been recruiting and playing ahead of Nate.
He finally saw after several years what most of the "uneducated fans" saw a long. long time ago.
