  • Out of control?

I guess things were bad enough with arrests & no leadership but did anyone listen to the post-game show?
Geno spoke of a lot of issues with this team....players being benched for lack of effort, poor practice ethic, work ethic, lack of hustle, and other discipline issues.
He specifically named Warren Jones, but of course Grier & Bell were also recently arrested and suspended, and Shaw & Xzavier Taylor were among the ones that weren't named but who were obviously being benched and disciplined last night as they never took their warmups off.

So with only 11 available players (Amerson, Fields not avail.) that's almost half the team being suspended or disciplined all at once at the most critical period of the season.

This is Geno's year-four and the only player being applauded for his work ethic is Wells, the only guy left from the cupboard!
And of course we've been told endlessly by the staff & media that this team has strong leadership, so much depth that we are redshirting guys due to the crowded backcourt, and are deeper & better in the paint than any time since Donald Reese & David Thirdkill!

OMG - we're talking Twilight Zone here - Wessler & Reynolds think this is the best team we've seen since Anthony Parker when it's a team out of control and rapidly spiraling into last place - in the one year when the bottom half of the MVC is weaker than it's ever been in recent history.
The media said we'd be battling for championships by now, and even a weak effort should have put us in 3rd, 4th, or 5th, yet we are quite possibly the worst team in perhaps the weakest MVC we've seen in 2 decades.

Speaking of out of control, despite many times I have seen someone say that Bradley is playing better lately,
even using terms like "playing as well as we're going to play", "vastly improved",
"Braves have been much more competitive their last four games"
, "competitive fight is better" and "moral victories",
"now we're playing the right way.."
      , and "playing better"...
somehow those darned facts just seem to be getting in the way of that argument.

In the 8 games before the night of Warren Jones' arrest ..
      Bradley was .......2-6
      8 gm since- we're 1-7

In those eight before - we averaged 56.8 ppg & 39.4% shooting
In the eight since then, we averaged 52.8 ppg & 36.3% shooting
can someone tell me where we see improvement?

I still think we have some chance - we've seen that for at least ONE half in certain games we play right with them...
so the key is to put to good halves together. At least win the Thursday game then worry about the next one - let's
be the team that wins from the play-in round!!
