I don't know if he was torpedoing a hire or not but is that any worse than trying circumvent the way things are suppose to be done in a hiring process?

      Decisions

It does not matter who wrote the story or why it was written. IMO JH has shown his true character! You can't represent one the most high profile programs in the country and act in this immature manner. If he was on staff here now or was at ISU. What would guys be saying then? Is this kind of character you want in your next coach? I guy who can't be mature enough at his age to quit messing with a recreational drug. CMON

T if I'm reading this right you seem to know who tipped KW off. I find that very amusing since I would bet my last dollar KW did not tell you or anyone else. Now I just need to figure out way you would allude to knowing who tipped him off. I could be wrong here but I would just call it incoherent babbling. If I'm wrong you have my apology.

            Obtacle

I continue to believe that the circumstances and details of JHs arrest need to be understood before a hiring decision can be made by the new AD. Apparently he had no trace of anything in his system so it would appear he was not smoking. Was the stuff in his car a small or large quantity? Was it his or someone else's? Did he cooperate with the police....was he polite or did he mouth off? If the incident is over, fines & probation completed, and no further legal action taken, and in view of this being a low level and minor misdemeanor, the new BU AD could choose to go ahead & hire him IMO.

It might not be as hard as you think for anyone to figure it out. Especially when he's bragging about it on twitter...

The thing that still concerns me is the fact that JH didn't tell Self until a few days ago. If he didn't have it in his system and basically got a slap on the wrist why not tell your boss. For someone who is in the public eye things like this seem to come out so why not deal with it and move on. The old reporter in me says there has to be more to the story. JH can't just have his statement speak for him unless Self says otherwise. JH needs to own up to what happened. If he doesn't it will stay with him throughout the next few stages of his career.

I remember we have wondered about head coaches saying they didn't know something was done behind their back by an assistant. Things like texting players, recruiting during a quite time, and impermissible benefits. I also remember what the majority thought about these type of statements. I'm not saying it is the case here.

Could Howard been protecting a player?

hmmm...you mean not rush to judgement... right??

well that's what we were told in this column that lectured people on rushing to judgement before we had the facts on Auston Barnes
