I think his name is Marico Stinson, and he came off the bench against Purdue to score 24 points.....which was a career high until tonight!

Marico Stinson is just a freshman that Royce Waltman recruited from Kingsbury High School, Memphis, Tennessee.

Looks like he lead the state of Tennessee in 3-point percentage his senior season. He was not that highly recruited out of high school-- Scout had him as just 1-star, and Rivals had him as a Zero star recruit--

He will probably get the Newcomer of the Week with tonight's performance. Just shows that the recruiting experts can't always be right.

Stinson didn't just appear last night, setting two all time Indiana State records (9 3-pointers in a game and 90% on 3-pt pct.), the kid has been having a fine year.

He is the 2nd leading scorer on Indiana State at 13.9ppg, and has already started 6 games for the Sycamores.
But they won't be able to hide him any more, and Stinson is going to get the opponents' best defender from now on and it'll get tougher.
I think JJ can shut him down.

Hard to believe that a kid that did so well his senior season was not recruited by many; at 6-3 is the perfect size for J.J. to guard .
