Update: the plans of the Board of Trustees have encountered an obstacle that may derail part of the plans. A problem has been uncovered that will need more time to consider and resolve.
Unfortunately, I cannot post publicly what this involves, but will respond to PM's. However, I may not be able to respond until later this PM.

This trainwreck we've been watching the past 5 years head into the dumpster aided by their allies in the media will probably have a few more surprises up their sleeves.
Odd that literally in the same breath that they whine about unfair personal attacks, they lob even more unfair personal attacks.

Your "rumor" will be fact this week as Dr. Cross is officially discharged as soon as Bradley women's basketball completes their tournament run.
It is a business as they all know better than we do - this has nothing to do with vendetta like the newspaper like to run and should not be clouded with the tear-jerking, hug-filled reports about how sad this is... (which btw- we never saw anything remotely like these heart-string-tugging columns the past times we changed coaches.)

So - as we have all seen - the most TIMELY, accurate, and objective BREAKING news and facts are seemingly always right here on BradleyFans..kudos & thanks, Da Coach for being so dead right on this one and for taking the heat that was fanned by the PJS guys for making them look a few steps slow.

I am a Bradley grad, and fan. I do not want to do anything that may have a negative effect on Bradley. Thus, out of a degree of respect, if they want the report removed, I complied.

But again, to be clear- everything I posted is true.
If anyone missed what was posted, send me a Private Message, and I'll fill you in. I think I know why they do not want this story out officially yet, but I have talked to multiple sources now that confirm it. Too bad the PJ Star does not do their homework as well.

This was all reported here early on Feb. 9.

Ok, I'm confused, I thought the decision on Cross was official and a done deal over two weeks ago. Why the political spinmeistering, long after the fact, on the part of Renee Charles? I have dealt with her before, and yes, I do have observations. Yes, I know she just takes orders, but this just seems to be more silliness.

I am not sure, but you may be confused about the dates and happenings.
Here is a summary-
We became aware of the actions of the board and the Cross news was posted here in the early morning of Monday, Feb. 9. Within the next couple hours there was hysteria from Bradley, certain media people, and a few other uninformed sources.
The spokesperson for the Bradley Public Relations office (Renee Charles) claimed the information was wrong, and claimed to have asked us to remove the news from our site, though to this day, I have never heard from Renee Charles (even though every page of Bradleyfans.com has a link to my email at the bottom of every page, and the people at Bradley know who I am and know exactly how to reach me). Eventually, I became aware that Bradley wanted the information removed, and so we removed it. I then posted this thread, and communicated privately with several hundred members with more detailed info about the Board's actions and the coming changes.

Then, in the afternoon of Monday, Feb. 16, Bradley announced the "resignation" of Dr. Cross. After it was announced by Bradley, then the local media jumped all over the story like they were breaking the news.
People can believe whatever they want, but it was obviously the exact same thing we reported over a week earlier, and were told it was not true.
Our sources are good, and those who pay attention here, continue to learn things before they are made official or announced elsewhere.
