The subcommittee was chosen mainly of people closer to this area, since they will need to meet a few times in the upcoming months, and travel is difficult for some BOT members who live far away.

I can also disclose that some discussions and actions were taken regarding the athletic department, but nothing will be announced for a little while.

We can only hope they don't make the same blunder.

Eight of the 12 committee members to select the new President are the very Board of Trustee members - some of whom helped engineer our problems and gave the President a raise and long extension to 2020, making a buyout so painful.
Just saying - from what we hear- things are already getting screwed up and dirty laundry on front pages...

This is why I have said and continue to say, the problem starts and ends with the Board of Trustees. People can blame who ever they want. People can be vindictive and say "I told you so. I was right, you were wrong. Na na na na na". That doesn't change anything and only creates more division.

The Board of Trustees must do some soul searching, stop the leaks (if there are any as the rumors seem to indicate), and learn from it's previous mistakes.

Bradley Board of Trustees member and former Presidential Search Committee Chairman Calvin Butler is in the news...
(btw- he was chairman of the search committee so he's largely responsible for landing Dr. Gary Roberts who's doing such a great job!)

very active in civic and community affairs and an outstanding role model among our great graduates!
