The only real competition for MVC Freshman of the Year will come from Brenton Scott (Indiana State), Reed Timmer (Drake) MiKyle McIntosh (ISU), Teddy Hawkins (ISU) & Jordan Caroline (SIU)
Cunningham 8.0 ppg, 7.4 rpg but 10.1 & 8.5 in conference play - but being on last place team may hurt
Caroline - 9.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg -- "" ""
Timmer 10.7 ppg/2.0 rpg/2.5 assists -- "" ""
McIntosh 6.2 ppg, 4.6 rpg
Hawkins 7.2 ppg, 5.0 rpg -- but limited playing time will hurt him
The last several Freshmen of the Year in the MVC (Milton Doyle, Marcus Marshall, Seth Tuttle, Doug McDermott) have all been pretty good - although two were gone from the MVC by their senior year.
