Final: Wichita State 62 Bradley 59

Considering the state of the team after the Drake game I was wondering what we were going to see out of our team over the next few games. While we lost our last 2 there has been a definite improvement in attitude and effort. If we play with this kind of attitude and effort in our last 7 regular season games we'll be in every one of them. We still make bad mistakes at the wrong time and the center position, 3 total shots with 2 points and 11 fouls, may as well not even exist for us. The Shaw -O-Meter now stands at 72 fouls and 58 points. The X-O-Meter now stands at 62 fouls and 64 points. Evansville has been struggling over the last few games and as long as we have the same attitude and effort I think we can go down there and maybe get us a W. At least it was fun to be in it against the Shockers till the end.

The Wichita State beat writer tweeted about the small crowd-
Kirk Wessler's column- again, no surprise, he blames the loss solely on the lack of players and the fact Wichita State has better playuers.
Dave Reynolds-
A couple things-
Of the suspended guards, Ka’Darryl Bell will return to the team for Saturday’s game at Evansville, while leading scorer Warren Jones will miss that one and return next Wednesday at Drake. The suspension lengths ended up being one game for Omari Grier, two for Bell and three for Jones.
… Because of bad weather en route, scheduled halftime magic act Quick Change could not make it. Bradley fans with tickets for the Wichita State game may redeem their tickets at the Bradley athletics ticket office at Renaissance Coliseum for complimentary tickets to any of the three remaining home games.
There were a few people in my section who came to the game just to see Quick Change. They were very disappointed when the announcement was made, and they got up and left the arena as soon as the first half ended.

I think it's interesting that we play or compete better short handed. You would think if we had Jones and Bell we might have pulled the game out??¦but I doubt it. WSU didn't play well, just good enough to win.
Dumb foul by Morgan and then we didn't do much right the last 20 seconds of the game??¦.
The effort was definitely better than some past games but the results are the same and I would like to think we could beat Evansville, Loyola, ISU etc but I just don't know if these guys have enough confidence to win

Got home and watched the end of the Evansville-Loyola game- Full rows of empty mid court seats--tiny "crowd"-- IF we play with the same intensity(and personnel)on Sat--we will beat the Purple Aces IMOBradley football--undefeated again this year

Quick Changed Their Minds about PIA Yesterday?
I think it would have been hilarious if BU had picked out some students from
the game last night, dressed them in several layers of clothes and had them do a "Quick Change - Not" show at half time. Complete with confetti tosses, capes, fabric hoops etc.
Had the crowd vote (applause) on the best impersonators
for a dinner gift certificate..
Missed opportunity to turn a bummer into some laughs.BUilding for the Future
