  • 3 Bradley guards suspended

Bradley guards Warren Jones, Omari Grier, and Ka'Darryl Bell have been suspended, and did not travel with the team to Terre Haute for Saturday's noon game against Indiana State.
    Dave Reynolds has the story-

But as usual, Dave just can't help but play the "excuse card" once again for Geno with comments like this:

Bradley??™s predicament isn??™t unusual this year for the team, which has consistently been without rotation players all season because of injury (26 man-games) or suspension (three).

I guess we will really boost our "suspension man-games" total.

Doesn't Reynolds realize that it DOESN'T MATTER who will or will not be in the lineup? These "3 key guards" were in the lineup during a home loss to pitiful Drake. 3 things in life are certain: 1) death, 2) taxes, 3) BU road losses under Geno

all this stuff is certainly getting a lot of people on edge...

You know, I love Bradley basketball - but even if we go 0-30, I am not going to jump off a cliff -
I plan to be there every game and cheer Bradley on - I want to see success - that's what everyone is waiting for!!!

..and yet I have to admit, I have read a few comments here & there (more there than here) that are maybe more in the realm of a Psychiatrist-
It's still just a game - no need for "woe is me" and "I'm outta here" ...
and "goddam anyone who disagrees with me"..." and "someone ought to sue that guy for what he said..."
But then I guess each of us can only control one person - while we watch a whole bunch of others careen out of control.

But let me remind everyone of one thing....

Back 2011, there was EVERY BIT as much poison being spewed, vile things yelled, and people lashing out - even filling 600 page threads with bitterness, HATE and insults..and aiming the most vile and unrepeatable insults at one of our Hall of Famers who chose to coach this team....
In fact some of that hate and vile attack goes on every single day - even to this day in some places...

How come - all of a sudden now the very people who have spewed all that stuff for four years NOW want to see it stopped?
I want to see it stopped, too - but that 600 page thread full of hate grows bigger every day.....so just maybe nobody's really all that sincere about wanting to see it stopped.
I find that kinda interesting. Did they just get back from Cursillo and have an epiphany?

What does the Daniel Ruffin arrest have to do with 2015 and this year's disaster? Who really cares? It's old news, water under the bridge. Nothing is going to change what happened back then.

just a joke about how they brought it up in every article back then for nearly 6 months when the agenda was to bring the program down
the Ruffin case was an almost identical situation to the Barnes thing which rarely ever gets a mention at all..

Incidentally, the Reynolds article does not mention what the length of the suspensions are. Has anyone actually heard?
If they are consistent with the Athletic Code, they should be at least 3 games (10% of the scheduled games).

Unless Grier was with the group of 10 people involved, and I have not heard he was, should his suspension be as long as Jones or Bell? I don't think he was cited, ticketed, arrested, or was even present at Big Als. I have a hard time believing giving out your ID is a violation listed in the student/athlete handbook.

If Grier gave out his ID so someone could break the law, IMO he is just as guilty. Show them all the door.
What part of illegal don't you understand?
