  • Trivia - 3-point shooting accuracy

    Trivia Questions:

#1 - who is the highest ranking player in all of D-I basketball in 3-point shooting accuracy?

#2 - who is the highest ranking player who is not a guard (a player listed as either F or C) in 3-point accuracy?

Here are the answers....just mouse over to see...

Here's the link to the up-to-the-minute Official NCAA Division I stats:

you may have to do the sorting yourself but here's what it shows -

#1 - Corey Hawkins (UC-Davis, son of Hersey Hawkins) is #1 overall in all of DI basketball,
and he's nearly TWO full percentage points ahead of the next closest #2 guy

#2 - Washington, IL's Alec Peters is #7 overall in 3-point accuracy, but he is the highest ranking player who is not a guard!
Wouldn't have been great to land guys like this!

    Rank Player Cl Ht Pos G 3FG 3FGA 3FG%
    1 Corey Hawkins, UC Davis Sr. 6-3 G 18 58 110 52.7
    2 Joey Ptasinski, Lafayette Sr. 6-2 G 20 53 104 51.0

Corey Hawkins is #1 in the NCAA 3-point shooting stats,
and Washington's Alec Peters is #7 nationally

The MVC has only 3 players shooting over 44% on the season- and two of them may not have enough stats to qualify by season's end (Milton Doyle & Marcus Marshall)
..which is unusual since that's always been the staple of MVC success - good 3-pt shooting.
