The PJ Star guys said he was a difference-maker - kinda make ya wonder if anything they ever say about Bradley basketball could ever be within light years of being right.

BTW - even worse - this game was on TV in Chicago for all those potential fans, & recruits to see...
guess we kiss any further recruits from Chicago good-bye - they're thinking who'd ever want to play for this system?

If Shaw ever sees the floor again Geno should be fired on the spot.

I will say this.....the more I watch Cunningham the more I like him, the kid really has some talent, if he works on his FT shooting he could get 20 pts a night! Josh had 15 rbs tonight with 16 pts and for a freshman is quit impressive.....pleasure to watch!

I agree with you Mike….I wish he could work on some post moves….with his quickness I think he would be even more effective there than shooting 3's

Anyone hear what Thomas did to get suspended for this game.....might have been some help tonight playing on Comcast in Chicago.

Just a few more thoughts, and it's time to say what we really think, which I have actually been doing for a long time.-

I have been attending games regularly since my freshman year 1967. I have been a season ticket buyer since the mid-'70s. I have traveled to more road games over the last 30+ years than anyone not employed by Bradley. I have seen well over 1000 Bradley games in person. Bradley teams haven't always been good, or loaded with talent. But they always competed hard, and usually overachieved. Until this season. And tonight was an all-time low point.

I have never seen a more embarrassing, listless, give-a-sh*t performance by any Bradley team in 47 seasons. I do not believe these players care and I no longer believe Geno or any of our highly experienced and knowledgeable assistants care any more. The only thing I can say is goodbye, and good riddance.

I listened to Geno's post-game show for any hint of an explanation for this disaster. He did admit there were several players who he felt did not play hard. No kidding. He said he is not the type of coach to single players out by name, but he said he benched those players and played guys who played hard- that is why in the final couple minutes when we might have still had a faint chance, we had guys like Fields on the floor, making sure we had no chance to come back. Grier, Shaw, Morgan, Taylor, and Sutherland were all on the bench. So Geno need not name those players not giving effort, we know who he thinks they were.
He blamed the loss on our poor peripheral and interior defense, and the fact Drake was hot and we couldn't stop them.
He stated clearly we would see "massive changes in the lineup" next game- which means we'll see Fields, Wells, Cunningham, Jones, and Barnes likely, since those were the players on the floor the final couple minutes. That might send a message, but it pretty much guarantees we will lose at Indiana State.

So in summary- this is the lowest point in the history of Bradley basketball in my lifetime. It was forseen and predicted. It was easily avoidable if those in charge had even an iota of sense or knowledge of what they were doing. Thank you Joanne, Mr. Shaheen, Mike, and Geno for destroying Bradley basketball.

PS- Geno said Thomas did something they did not like. It was nothing illegal, but Geno felt it deserved a suspension to make an example of him.

My hope is Josh will hit the weight room this off-season building some much needed strength which will make him really hard to guard! Josh is all BLUE SKY on high his real potential can reach!

but tell us how you really feel....

seriously - this was foreseen and predicted - and the predictions that we would be THIS BAD were plain, clear, and stated MULTIPLE times by a few on this board and were shouted down and laughed at by those who pretty much hide on another board giggling about how really bad their predictions were and how surprised they are that their knowledge of basketball sucks so bad.

IMO, there is no chance Josh is at Bradley next year. He is good, and can play most anywhere he wants. Why would he want to spend his career playing for a poorly coached, bad team?

Why would a guy with his upside want to come back to this unbelievable travesty???

I would probably be censored if I was to write down what I want to write down so, for the moment, I will leave it like this. I've been going to Bradley games for about 45 years and until tonight I've never left a game early. Until tonight.

One other thing I don't recall hearing before-
There were people leaving early, but that has happened before, but there was a lot of booing, and rude fans yelling insults at specific players on the Bradley bench. I have never heard Bradley fans doing that before, and I do not believe it is ever justified.
