Drake scored only 56, sent ISU to the free throw line 25 times, got outrebounded and gave up 50% shooting for the game....
and yet Drake still hung close & it was a 2-pt game inside the final 8-10 minutes -
Nebraska beat Minnesota 52-49 ....
the writeups this morning are giving Jim Molinari strong credit for winning this game but also really ripping into the refs...
"Nebraska shot a paltry 40% from the field, somehow gritting their way to a 52-49 victory, while digging in on defense
and turning the game into trench warfare for the eyes. They held the Golden Gophers to just 30% from the field,
an incredible number from a team that is rapidly establishing itself as an elite defense.
You have to give props to Jim Molinari, Nebraska??™s defensive guru.
..... he??™s brought an already good defending team to an entirely new level."
