Thought I'd investigate some more stats. Of the guys on the list for number of fouls here are their total points scored so far this season:

    Shaw 63 fouls 54 points
    Bell 62 fouls 140 points
    Lynch 61 fouls 130 points
    Taylor 55 points 56 points
    Boone 53 points 128 points
    McIntosh 51 points 123 points

For the season Evansville's Egidijus Mockevicius has 48 blocks while Lynch has 45 blocks. For the season BU has 49 blocks, Drake has 35 blocks, ISU Blue has 55 blocks, Loyola has 47 blocks, Missouri State has 62 blocks, SIU has 35 blocks, Wichita has 70 blocks and UNI has 48 blocks.

In the assists/turnover categories only Evansville has more than 300 (307) and only BU (179) and SIU (159) have less than 200. Only Wichita (178 ) and UNI (196) have less than 200 turnovers while there are 4 teams, SIU (255), ISU Blue (255), BU (254) and Drake (253) have more than 250 turnovers. I thought it was interesting that with as much trouble that we have scoring that BU has 3 players who average over 10 points a game which ties Wichita and ISU Blue with the most. Fred Van Fleet of Wichita has 99 assists and just 27 turnovers.

In other interesting facts on a Monday night with nothing on TV D. J. Balentine of Evansville leads the MVC, and is 14th overall, in scoring with 20.3 points and in average minutes played with 37. Mockevicious is the only one in the Valley who averages a double/double at 13.1 points and 10.7 rebounds which puts him 10th nationally. Paris Lee of ISU Red ranks 12th nationally with 2.5 steals per game. By the way Hersey Hawkin's son Corey of UCD ranks 9th nationally in scoring with 20.9. A chip off the old block who would have looked pretty darn good on the Hilltop.

Tried to correct the cool smiley face next to the Wichita assist number, which is 178, but it didn't let me do it.

Yes, unless you click on the button below the text box to "Disable Smileys", it automatically converts the "8" followed by the ")" into this-->
