Thanks. Yes, as frustrated and vocal as we get, we just want Bradley to be successful and competitive again. Sometimes change is needed to turn things around. I will admit I did not think a complete change was in the program's best interest in 2011, but it clearly is now.

I thought we had long ago determined that it is NOT the job of the reporters nor the columnists to either LIKE or DISLIKE a head coach and certainly NOT their job to root for them nor against them - nor their job to "beat the drum" to get rid of them...
They are supposed to be objective, fair-minded, and as unbiased as possible if they are to be believable...
And yet we have Kirk Wessler stating plainly & publicly that's exactly what he did...starting in year two..

There just isn't much talent on that squad. I don't think any of them would get any minutes in the upper eight schools. With the exception of Josh.

here is the painful part...
even if we made massive changes right now - and even if we picked the very best people available...
I still cannot see how we break .500 in the MVC any time for at least another 3 years -
simply because we have recruited so incredibly badly that now the cupboard really is as bare as it gets.....
...and we don't have a single player coming in - not just any who will help - I mean we don't have ANY - and none even for the forseeable future
The cupboard is so bare that even Kirk Wessler concedes there's really no D-I players there.

Yes, it may be a long time before we are competitive again, but it is less painful than watching this program go down the toilet. If the right coach is here, we should improve from year to year. Fixing a basketball program is still easier than fixing a football program, with the possible exception of Michigan. It only takes a couple of good players on a basketball program for the whole team to play well.

I guess so - there's a mid-major program out west that sure turned it around from almost nonexistent in just 3 years...
...gets discouraging being this bad - I was reading over on the SIU message board - and as bad as they are this year -
their fans are licking their chops at playing us there in Carbondale next Wednesday...

But Vent - we have no offense....it's so bad that even Kirk Wessler now notices we have absolutely nobody that can score?
Of course he's criticizing the players - but it's the system also...
Did you not see where someone noted that opposing coaches see Bradley's offense as laughably easy to defend!!
Do you not remember whenever we've had TV announcers for our games who are not PAID employees of Bradley and whenever they are free to be honest - they note how ridiculous our offense is - how poorly run our plays are...(although our guys are beginning to notice and comment)
Do you remember when we played at Michigan and the pplay-by-play guys talked the entire game about how Michigan was running offense while all our guys were doing was repeatedly going 1-on-5 with selfish solo-play that obviously was doomed to failure?
Remember when the team got constantly ripped for never finishing higher than 4th - well under this system & staff it's gonna be never higher than 7th.
And where we never significantly competed for the title after mid-February - it's gonna be "never significantly competing for the title after early January"...
And instead of having a s few empty seats - it's having vast swaths of empties - and virtually nobody in the upper bowl because Dr. Cross says it's irrelevant if anyone buys those tickets.
Nope - the earliest a ground-up rebuild would help us is 3-4 years down the road...the cupboard is worse than bare... it's even got cockroaches in it...
