I have been patient as a fan, but now all fans must speak up with their voices and their money. This incompetence has to end. We need to clean house, and replace Glasser, Cross, Ford, and any other coach who thinks they are safe with 2-26 or 1-12 records.

Those in charge are not capable and should not be given the privilege of hiring the new coaches. We need to start at the top down.

Until her majesty is gone nothing will change. She asserted her authority when she got rid of Ken Kavanaugh and then waited until JL had a losing season to get rid of him. She has so many people tied around her little finger and who owe her favors that it's going to take a miracle to get her out of here. But as someone who has survived cancer I have to believe in that miracle.

Ken was not dismissed by her. Ken left bu because he did not want to work in that environment he liked the community and the school

Surely you know that Ken Kavanagh had less than 1 year left on his contract, and that the President told him his contract would not be renewed after it ran out. Furthermore, she gave her approval and urged him to seek employment elsewhere. So he did, and has done a tremendous job at Florida Gulf Coast University, and has been voted by his peers as the National Athletic Director of the Year.

No he was not technically fired, but he was run out of Bradley just the same. He loved Peoria (and still does), was doing a good job at Bradley, had already been voted Athletic Director of the Year in 2008, and wanted to stay at Bradley, but his contract was not going to be renewed. And it was done for purely personal reasons by a vindictive president. But I am sure you already know that.

I know my source too and Ken was definitely encouraged to look elsewhere.

Ken's contract was not offered beyond 2009...
you can call it what you want but he was terminated

Everyone in Peoria knew that Glasser wouldn't give Ken a new contract.

in the end most of us have been following, supporting & donating to BU for many decades...
                      some since the 40's & 50's...
I sit in front of the widow of Bob Carney and their family have been season ticket holders and supporters since the early 1950's...

but some of us have a lifetime tied up in Bradley basketball....Bradley basketball is our passion - sure it's illogical but it is what it is....
sure, other things may come first - faith, family, friends -- but most all of us would agree we were here long before those who took over the reigns in 2007 & 2008 - and most of us will be here far into the future picking up the pieces and suffering from the fallout...

For folks who have come into Peoria having never set foot here before and likely never knowing a doggone thing about Bradley University - and for the Board to enable those people who have only been here 4, 5, or 7 years - to so vastly change Bradley for the worse - to send not just athletics but academics and the finances of the entire University down the drain...
is a real tragedy....because we all know they will soon take their golden parachute, their comfy buyouts & retirements, and they won't care any more...

But the loyal and generous fans who have supported this school through thick & thin will suffer severely from this mess for generations to come.
And, one more time, it did not have to happen - plenty of people from fired administrators to fine academic people at BU to even the fans...
all saw it coming long ago and tried to warn those in charge & on the board..

I agree. The only thing that scares me is that it appears to be the same clowns on the Board of Trustees, that got us in this mess. How can we be sure, they won't make the same mistake again? It sounds as if the members on the Board of Trustees that didn't go along with the way the current Board thinks, quit the board instead of staying and standing up for what they believe. If this is true, they were probably replaced with people that felt the same as the current Board members. Getting rid of Glasser may make us all feel better, including me. But does it mean we're going to get somebody that can correct things? I'm not so sure, unless there has been major changes on the Board of Trustees.

                          Lets Get Versace Back...

Bravetime 33.....Da Coach is 100% correct regarding the Ken Kavanaugh situation. I know Ken very well and he & I discussed this in detail. The only thing Da Coach didn't mention was that the final straw had to do wth JG undercutting Ken and going behind his back in the hiring of the new baseball coach.

well, you don't really think this is gonna happen...

If he quits, then the amount he gets from Bradley for the next 3.5 years is ZERO

if does not quit - even if he's fired, then the amount Bradley is obligated to pay him is roughly $2.0 million (and perhaps more)
... so which do you think he'd select...
