UVa - Tony Bennett

been reading about University of Virginia...
they're 14-0, ranked #3, and yet they rarely ever get mentioned in the same breath as Duke, Coack K, or the other top schools....

But all Tony Bennett has done is rise quietly thru the small school & midmajor ranks, build from the ground up even though he rarely ever lands the TOP recruits or blue chippers...
(in fact he gets giddy when landing a 3-Star kid)

The guy does everything right and keeps on winning...maybe if Bradley goes a different direction - I know it's a wild idea....
but perhaps we need to look at his staff and see just who might be interested in returning to head coaching...

Would they make dozens of cell phone calls (which they would later deny) to the current UVA players and try to entice them to come with them to Bradley?

btw - in that context...
UCLA assistant under Steve Alford Duane Broussard's stock must have been pretty high after last year's 28-9 season
that landed them a SWEET SIXTEEN spot...and if there was a time to make a jump - just maybe that was it ...

but now this year it's a completely different story....
UCLA is losing to everybody...they're on a 5-game losing streak and just got absolutely embarrassed 71-39 by Utah..
Their RPI is already out of at-large range and a lot of their toughest conference games are yet to come..
Duane won't be getting any interviews this year...
