This game COULD define our season.

We struggle/get beat... we are in for a long season.

We overcome-easily-enough/win... March could be another fun Month.

Interesting article from the Evansville perspective. They have won 2 straight home games against MVC foes by large margins.
They beat Illinois State back on Dec.9th 69-41, and just beat Drake Thursday, 78-57. They come into the Bradley game with a 2-0 conference record and a lot of confidence.

This article suggests they should prepared to play well against Bradley since BU plays a similar guard-oriented style similar to ISU and Drake which they dominated.
They say they will play an unside-first style of offense.

Evansville has a fine basketball tradition, but yet I can still only find six players from Evansville who ever played a game in the NBA.

Dan Godfread from Stillman Valley, IL (graduated from UE 1990)
        Bill Bradley (1967)
        Harold Brown (1946)
        Don Buse (1972)
Scott Haffner a transfer from Illinois (1989)
        Jerry Sloan (1965)

Only Sloan and Buse played more than a handful of games, and Bradley only played in the ABA.

Dan Godfread also played for the Rockford Lightning, and was signed on December 29 in 1990 to a 10 day contract but stayed with the team through March, appearing ni 10 games and scoring a total of 13 career points.

        TRIVIA QUESTION:

Which Evansville player OWNS his ALL TIME CAREER CONFERENCE scoring record for the number of points scored in a single game?

also name the Evansville player who owns his CONFERENCE's ALL TIME CAREER BLOCKS record?

        Mouse over to see answers:

        Horizon League:
        Scoring
Single Game - 65, Scott Haffner, Evansville vs. Dayton, Feb. 18, 1989

        Blocks
        Career - 226, Dan Godfread, Evansville, 1985-90

Both records are still the all time records for the Horizon Conference, which the University of Evansville was a member of at that time
        .

starting with the "big" line-up with Salley and Andrews both in, hope this goes better than last time.

Franklin did not start due to being disciplined for a violation of team rules. Coach Les wouldn't say anything more than that.
