Is anyone else listening to Geno Ford on the post game show? He actually sounds upbeat, though I don't know why.

He is reeling off a string of excuses that include:
We don't have guys who can score inside
We don't have guys who can make shots from outside
We just don't have the bodies to compete with Wichita State
We don't have guys who are good defensive rebounders
We can't expect Josh to make those 3-point shots because he is just a freshman
The officiating didn't go our way
And the old stand-by excuse, The shots weren't falling

Memo to Dave Snell....Someday, would you ask Geno why we don't have any of those kinds of players he seems to think we need to compete in the MVC?
This is year 4. When might we ever see a team that can beat someone?
For the record- In Gregg Marshall's 4th season at Wichita State they were 29-8, and 14-4 in the MVC.

we never hear an end to all the excuses for losing - and we hear non-stop alibis for the terrible play and the lack of talent to compete at this level...

AND YET - outside of the intelligent fans ON THIS MESSAGE BOARD - not one other person seems to have the wherewithal to ask

"WHY AFTER FOUR YEARS - DO WE NOT HAVE THE PLAYERS TO COMPETE AT THIS LEVEL?"
Why do we have no effective low post players, why do we have no shooters, why do we have NO DEPTH?"

But it's not just the lack of talent - because every once in a while we still ought to be able to sneak up and beat a decent team..but we never do - we get outcoached.

BTW - with the next three games against tough teams & Valley contenders - Evansville, UNI, and at ISU - we are gonna be looking at 1-5 by the time we face SIU again on Jan. 21....

Marshall is a pain in the butt. It paid off though. He calmed down and got every call after all his tyraids.

He is a guy we should tell he needs to graduate just like it is rumored two others were told. WORTHLESS best describes him.

Exactly. The game totally changed when he went bonkers. Check the foul totals for both teams for about five minutes before and after the explosion, where he should have received a technical foul. The refs were totally intimidated.

Yes, can you imagine if Geno, or Jim Les, or Jim Molinari blew up like Marshall did, threw their jackets, screamed profanities at the refs, walked well out of the coaching box, and even onto the floor while the game was going on, and continued the rant for several minutes? They probably would have been hit with multiple technicals and ejected. Yet Marshall not only did not get a technical, the refs actually turned their backs to him, ignored him, and just let his rant accelerate and get out of control.

Remember when Jim Les got a technical for a simple stomp of his shoe as he tried to get Will Egolf's attention- the officials nailed him with a technical just because they thought he was doing it toward them! Even when they realized they were wrong, they still enforced the technical because they didn't want it to look like they made a mistake!

I can also remember an instance when Stan Albeck, who like to sip on a Diet Pepsi during the game, accidentally set it on the edge of the scorer's table one game, and it fell off and onto the floor purely by accident. Stan was extremely mild mannered, and almost never got upset, and never got technical fouls. But a referee heard something, turned and saw the can of Diet Pepsi on the floor, and assumed Stan had thrown it there, and called a technical foul on him!

Jim Molinari never used profanity, but he got several technicals just for politely pleading with officials when a call didn't go Bradley's way.

JL also once got a technical when he inadvertently knocked a water bottle off the scorers' table and some paranoid ref thought it was being thrown at him...

Gentlemen get over it. The coach was extremely upset. It obviously helped his team but it wasn't the reason Bradley scored 14pts in the second half. Its a bad team that is poorly coached. Our coaches record doesn't match his, maybe our coach should get more upset at times. And Mr. Parker you calling him a baby on the radio makes Bradley look bad.

Not as bad as he looked. You're right Parker shouldn't have called him a baby, because he was worse than that. He was a pain in the you know what. Too bad be had to go crazy on the officials to beat a team as bad as the Braves are this season.

Another Dave Reynolds article trying to convince fans that Bradley wasn't all that bad in their blowout loss at Wichita State-

Comparing the blowout losses at Memphis and at Wichita State-
These two tough road games demonstrate how much better Bradley has gotten. An effort like this against lesser teams - with just a little better second-half numbers - will land the Braves some wins in the Valley.

Yeah, right.....Just what the Bradley fans expect in year 4 of this disaster, a couple wins against the low-life teams in the Valley......

                              so IF we play better,
and IF we sustain it for both halves,
and IF it is against an SIU or a Drake
then just maybe we get a win ... gotcha...

Really? Really Dave? Really? How anybody could come away feeling good about BU after that pathetic 2nd half effort is beyond me. 12.8 fouls per 40 minutes for X, which leads all of Division I basketball If you look at the numbers a little deeper X has committed 51 fouls this year and scored 47 points. How does someone do that. Believe it or not he's not the only BU player who has more fouls than points as Mike Shaw also has 51 fouls and has scored 49 points. By the way Wichita's press was just a token press, not their usual hard trapping press so I think Tramique is getting a little too much credit for our low turnover figure for the game. As bad as we all complained about how KDB played the point and how we were told that Tramique would solve that problem in 7 games so far he has 22 assists and 20 turnovers. He is averaging 12.6 points a game. And while Josh Cunningham has done a good job in rebounding, 7.0 per game, his outside shooting leaves something to be desired. Outside of dunks and rebound putbacks, where he has made 27 of his shots, Josh is shooting 11 for 42 from the field, including 3 for 23 from the 3 point line. His last made 3 came in the Memphis game. Josh needs to realize where he needs to be and that's inside, especially since we are not getting any contributions from X, Shaw and before he was hurt Morgan.
