great job by our guys - good defensive effort and Bradley leading at half...

the only gripe I might have is that right at the end with 0.2 seconds left and Wichita inbounding under their own basket...

the only possible way with 0.2 sec that they could score would be a lob to the hoop and a tip..
and yet we defend by putting Nate Wells on the inbounder...and defending Morris directly under the hoop with one of our guards!!!
Thankfully Morris failed to convert but he was right there with the lob and should have scored...

Bradley NOT making a lot of subs and sticking with the players that produce...
I have been calling for Nate Wells to get a little more playing time all year - in fact last year as well - and I think he has made a difference in this game!
If the refs don't send the Shox to the FT line every other time down the court we might be up by 10!

I'll be the first to admit that our lead is largely due to the Shockers struggling, but if our guys came out with this same intensity and focus every game, we would be tough to beat.

for a guy who quite regularly gets every call in the book -
Gregg Marshall sure is an incredible CRY BABY!!!!!

he's literally tearing up and crying over on the bench..he looks like a fool

Cunningham & Thomas shoot way too many 3's

JC needs to quit shooting 3s Shaws defensive fundamentals are terrible stay between your man and the basket.

Well, Bradley teased us for a little more than a half, but then they reverted to their old self with poor shooting, bad inside defense, and poor rebounding.

They are now down 15, and the fouls are piling up for Bradley. Looks like the 19-point Vegas line might turn out pretty close.

a little like the Memphis game - hung close for a while then folded...
our big-man positioning is terrible - every time they wanted they got the ball to the low post and it resulted in a score or a foul
all this hype about how big & athletic we are down low and even the skinny 6-4 Wessel posts up Mike Shaw and makes him look bad for the hoop & the harm..
..and all our big guys give up easy hoops and then foul out...

Please give Nate Wells more chance to play

Going inside to the post was the key in the first half, so let's quit doing that and just chuck up threes and tough drives.
                          Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

There is nothing good I can find to say about Bradley's performance in the 2nd half. That was probably the worst performance I've seen this year, and maybe even the past 2 or 3. A complete disaster. Nobody expected Bradley to win this game, but from where the 2nd half started, it's inconceivable that Bradley will end up losing this game by 20 points. They have 3 total baskets this half, and maybe they'll get a couple more now against their scrubs and walkons.

Here are the stats that will be final shortly

                            Grier 1 point
                            Shaw 1 point
                            Cunningham 0-6 from three
Sutherland 2 assists, 4 turnovers, and a -22 (worst by any player in the game)
Donte Thomas was a -16, and he played only 16 minutes!

I'm sure because of the first half that our local garbage paper and their much overrated writers will tell us tomorrow how much better BU is this year and how close we are to being one of the more competitive teams in the valley.

Agree with all comments about shot selection, post defense. Taylor did not get 1 board? What have they been working on with this guy in practice for the past 2 years? For this team, all he needs to do his show some sense of post defense and get on the glass. Team 7-17 from the line? I thought Sutherland played a nice game. Probably only guy who shows toughness. He can consistently break his guy down and get into the lane, draw 3 defenders, and then...well, if he kicks out to the perimeter, nobody can knock it down. For some reason, Ford does not have anyone move without the ball to give Sutherland a target- cut to the basket or at least move to improve the spacing on the floor. So, I think best option with this bunch is to let him keep taking it to the hole and try to score. At least the commentators were entertaining. I like how they said that we played a tough non-conference schedule, Geno has had great success and is a great recruiter, is turning the program around, and the always popular "injury bug" affecting results. Does anyone really think that the return of Morgan and Jones will make a difference? They aren't very good, just like most of the roster.
