Final: Bradley 63 SIU 44

1st part I agree - Very poor basketball tonight by SIU.
2nd part I disagree - From my view - he slapped the board. You DO NOT slap the board. Does not matter = close game or 20 point lead.

I didn't see him slap the backboard. I did read in the paper today that he did.

Not to try to argue the point, but I was close enough to the official scorer's bench to hear what the official said who called the technical as he blew his whistle and walked toward the official scorer- he told the scorer that the technical was for "hanging on the rim" and he gave a brief hand gesture as if he was grabbing a rim.
So maybe the slap might have helped provoke the technical call, but from what I could hear the official called it for the "hanging on the rim" and did not mention the slap.

Rick you are correct. T he "T' wasn't for hanging on the rim ,it is for slapping the backboard after the dunk and was the correct call.

SIU only scored 39 points tonight....
so much for the argument that we held them to 44 because our incredible defense!
Anyway - three games into the MVC season, SIU is averaging only 44 points a game - so I guess everyone is holding them down....
