  • More Bradley injury woes

Jermaine Morgan, who has started at center most of the season, out 2 weeks with ankle sprain

  • #2
Morgan has started 9 of 12 games, and averages 4.0 ppg, 3.8 rpg, and he's shooting 36.0%.

That will not cost us any games we would have possibly won, in my opinion.

Wells played ok - he's as good as anyone else we got playing that position

If you put all 4 together we wouldn't have a good 5 man. So hard to believe that we have so many 5's and no one to help. Three of those 4 are also very bad at the line. Nate far and away the best free throw shooter. Hopefully JM's ankle gets better and he improves right along with it, but not holding my breath.

of the guys used in the center position here are the per 40 minute stats

              Shaw 7.4 pts, 10.7 reb, FG% .421
              Wells 10.0 pts, 8.0 reb, FG% .570
              Morgan 10.4 pts, 9.8 reb FG% .361
              Taylor 11.6 pts, 10.1 reb, FG% 394
..so I think they are all quite close - except shooting - esp. from FT line may favor Nate

speaking of injury woes....you gotta feel for this kid...

6-11 top prospect who was getting interest from top schools - fell while dunking
and fractured both legs (tibias) -

Warren Jones and Jermaine Morgan are possibly going to return for the Jan. 10 home game against Evansville.

I think if we go with Barnes, Tramique, Cunningham, Jones & then switch big & small with Bell, Grier & Morgan as subs ...
That would be our best lineup....
As big of a problem we have scoring - we simply cannot take more than one of our top scorers out at any given time or we hit a stretch like we did in the last 10 minutes of the Loyola game where they outscored us 21-2..
