ouch - we lose badly to a very mediocre Big West team..
                    55-47

we are 4-7 playing UALR tomorrow

Dave Snell declines to give a Player of the Game! Says nobody deserves it...
We had better win tomorrow - if UALR clobbers us then I think heads roll early..

                      Final score- UC-Irvine 55 Bradley 47

Is this as good as it gets under Geno? What I saw was an undisciplined team that is a terrible shooting team, big men who are incompetent on offense and foul too much on defense, and guards who seem confused, and lack toughness, are terrible shooters, and terrible defensively. I cannot think of a single Bradley player who I could say played well today. And we continue to act like we have never before seen a zone defense and don't have a clue how to attack it. 27% shooting for the game, 10% in the second half (3 for 29)....pathetic.

Like I said - it will be hard to come up with some excuses...but rest assured the PJS writers and meeting right now with Dr. Cross trying like the Dickens to invent something...

                        Pick the one you want...

                        -jet lag
-we got nabbed by the "west of the Mississippi" curse
                        -we had an off night
-we still had a chance even tho we played badly
-our big men surprisingly cannot make layups
-they played a good zone against us
                        -they're really a good team
-we're still young - still developing
                        -we rebounded well
-Tramique's left hand is still hurting
-a couple plays go the other way and it's a different outcome
-just needed a couple more stops
-gotta admit we're a good defensive team
-it's hard to play 2 games on consecutive days -(seriously this is what Geno just said)

Da Coach, I know you have been openly saying this program is headed in the wrong direction since day 1 of this regime, and now I don't see how anyone can disagree with you. But it amazes me that there are still people who think we are "building the right way", and that Geno just "needs more time to rebuild". And amazingly, the local newspaper people Dave and Kirk, who should know a lot better, seem absolutely blind to this mess, and keep trying to put lipstick on a pig. I can only hope and pray you guys are right that things are going to change, but I can't see any way I would buy another ticket to see this team again.
From PJ Star sports expert Kirk Wessler in his Jan. 10, 2012 column following 8th loss in a row at Drake-
"Yes, the Braves are better than they were when the season started two months ago. By a light year or two, they??™re better."

And from the PJ Star 4/26/12, Dave Reynolds-
"Fields and Grier both appear to be difference makers. If Bradley continues to add the right players around them, happy days may be ahead for the Braves after a long dry spell."

Just listened to Geno, and he sounds really down. I can't blame him. He blamed everything on "the shots weren't falling", and that "Irvine zoned us too much".

Geno is now 0-12 on neutral courts, and 6-35 in true road games. That is an unbelievable 6-47 (.113) away from home.

this is one additional BIG reason it is BAD to play a team like Eureka - and it's not the fans who are uneducated about this...
that game did nothing to prepare us for this - this was a mediocre team that played badly and scored only 55 - yet we looked completely unprepared as if we weren't expecting a zone and had never seen one before.

Our RPI is gonna be over 300 - wonder if it has ever been that bad in history?
Does anyone left following Bradley seem to care any more? But - as a few have said recently - tighten your seatbelts - because I don't think we've hit the bottom yet...

Ugly numbers. Tramique Sutherland with only 2 assists and 5 turnovers.
