Loyola and possibly even Evansville are not going to stay up there long...
Two of Loyola's wins were over non-DI's, and none were very impressive, and multiple of their opponents are 300+ RPI - including each of their next two...
Likewise Evansville save for one win over a sub-100 RPI opponent.
Evansville's next three opponents also average about 280 RPI.
I think they cracked the code...

Here is what can happen when a team schedules just 1 cupcake opponent-
After the loss yesterday, Bradley's RPI has now dropped to 279. That is now worse than Drake's RPI (277).
For the record, the current RPI of 279, is worse than any RPI Bradley has ever recorded for any previous season!
Here are Bradley's RPI's for the last 36 seasons. The last 4 don't compare very well-

I'm not saying your point is invalid, but are those old RPIs end-of-year, or are they at about this time of those seasons, or are they the worst those RPIs fell during those seasons? What exactly are we comparing?

Coach....An RPI of 279 can't possible be right! The Chairman of the BU Board of Trustees says our current athletic program is the most successful in the past 30 years!!! Where in the world has this guy been. Is he so super na??ve or ill-informed that he truly believes this. Womens BB is 1-9, volleyball in totally in the tank as is baseball. Mens BB is a complete embarrassment to the university. If the BOT is this out of touch, ill-informed, and truly incompetent, there is no hope for our school at all. Lock the doors, turn off the lights, and sell the buildings...we are all through!

Sorry if it wasn't clear- yes, those are all "end of year" RPI's except this current year, which of course includes just the 11 games played.
The RPI was created by the NCAA in 1981.

Yeah - some may argue the historically bad RPI by saying it is too early in the season for the RPI to mean anything...
The new list of the current Braves Club members was just released - and it looks like membership is down and quite a few familiar names are gone...
some of the most vocal fans who demanded the coaching change are now nowhere to be found among the donors and supporters.

More bad news on the RPI numbers-
The Bradley men's RPI dropped to another all-time high of RPI 290 after the loss today. (compared with previous year-end RPI numbers listed above- and just for the record, UC-Davis' RPI is at 107)
Plus, the Bradley women's RPI is already at a ridiculous high of RPI 318. (Even Paula Buscher at SIUE is doing better than Bradley)
I can't say for sure, but there have not likely been too many MVC schools in the past decades that have had men's and women's combined RPI's over 600. Could we be headed for record territory?
