  • Funny NBA video

Anyone who watches NBA games has noticed that sometimes players are allowed to get away with an extra step or even two steps sometimes and not get called for traveling.

Here is a ridiculously blown traveling call on a breakawy dunk by Corey Brewer of the Minnesota Timberwolves in a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder last night-

He gets away with at least 6 or 7 steps after he ends his dribble, as he goes in for the dunk!

Not sure if you looked at it in slow-mo, but it was 3 to 3.5 steps he actually took...this is pretty common in nba...when playing at regular speed, appears he does take 5-6 steps before the bucket...don't think a ref would be able to see it as the "actual" 3.5 steps, but rather about 5, so it should have been called, but they probably took pity on lowly Wolves.

Here is another case of a ridiculous number of steps taken by an NBA player in a game, yet no traveling violation was called-
Kendrick Perkins of the Cleveland Cavaliers gets away with 8 or 9 steps in a game last night against the Milwaukee Bucks-

Largely dormant through the first three quarters, LeBron James did just enough to help the Cleveland Cavaliers firm up their playoff picture.

Anyone that can watch an NBA game and tell me when and what will be called would have the ability to guess the numbers of the lotto. NBA - worst professional sport in the world.

I do love the effort we get from our Bullies, though! Go Joakim!

              Here's another funny one...
this guy steps on the endline, then jumps and comes back down & travels, then starts his dribble again for a 2nd time - and still doesn't get whistled...
He commits at least 3 blatant violations and the refs just watch...

One more NBA related YouTube video than many may have seen already-
Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is one of the best 3-point shooter in the NBA. But here is video of him making 77 straight 3-pointers in practice.

I never get too interested in accomplishments players make in practices. But I heard an interview this morning on ESPN radio with Steve Kerr, and appreciated this accomplishment a bit more. Kerr himself is known as one of the top couple 3-point shooters in the history of the NBA. In fact, Steve Kerr is the #1 top 3-point percentage shooter in NBA history. Steph Curry is currently 3rd ranked in NBA history-

Kerr said even he was amazed that Curry, or anyone could hit 77 three pointers in a row. He said that during his NBA career, he would always finish practice with 3-point shooting drills from different places on the floor. But he said he does not believe he ever made more than 25 in a row, and that after that muscles begin to tire and it becomes almost impossible to maintain the shooting stroke. So what Curry did was pretty amazing.

regardless of whether he made 77 in a row...
showing that video doesn't convince me one bit more than just telling me he did...
because that video starts with several in a row form the top of the circle then it cuts away and clearly is spliced into the next section, then this separate video of supposedly the same event splices together video from clearly two different recording devices & shows him taking some from inside the arc and others (at 50 seconds) with him wearing completely different clothes

...so I don't say it's faked but the evidence presented sure looks pretty fakey...
