I wonder if tonight's game will be the last time JG will attend a BU basketball game?

Tramique Sutherland is expected to be in the starting lineupo tonight

Does anyone else think that is unusual - for a guy who has never played a single minute of Division I ball to come off the injury list 9 games in and move instantly ahead of 9 other guys and into a starting spot?
It's not like he is getting his starting spot back, since he's never played yet -

If he's the best bet for PG, why not start him?
What part of illegal don't you understand?

I can see there'd be room for differences on this....
I guess if you have the ability to know he's the best bet for PG without ever having seen him play in a college game, then go for it..

Alabama is playing Stillman tonight. There are plenty of "BCS" teams that play non D-1's this time of year...

I think Chico's point, and the point I and many fans have against Eureka, is that we could have tried to add a good, high-RPI team to the schedule, instead of a D3. Alabama's non-conference SOS is 15, Bradley's non-conference SOS is 200+, and will likely be close to 300 by the end of the season when the RPI's all settle to where they likely will be.

It's one thing to play a non-D1 when you give your home fans a lot of good games. It's a different thing when the home schedule is like Bradley's.
There is also a difference in Division II teams and Division III teams.
For the record- Stillman College is a good Division II school- they are 4-1.
Eureka is a bad Division III team.
Not many D1 teams are playing D3 teams at this point of the season.

1st it was the AD insulting fans and now it's the men's basketball coach. smh

Bradley up 62-31 with 8 minutes left. Even Bradley walk-on Jackson Kane has played, but Nate Wells has not gotten off the bench yet. Really?

did they lock in on scheduling Stillman in early summer?
I can see filling tough open slots with DII's if you have to
but locking in on a DIII early in the scheduling process when other opponents were still available?

I think we saw what having a point guard can mean to a team...
sad that we had to wait 3 1/2 years to see us play with a true point guard...
but I like Tramique -- always have since it was first reported here in Bradleyfans that we were recruiting him, then later that we had landed him.

He will help us but it's pretty hard to gauge how much since this is a team we should have beaten by 40 points.

                          Final score 80-38
Sutherland with 17 pts, 9 rebs and 6 asst according to early unofficial stats
Our big men (Taylor, Morgan, Shaw) combine for just 12 pts - and missed a lot of layups...
but Josh Cunningham was active under the hoop and Auston Barnes shot well from everywhere

T ,I don't think it's unusual at all. I know you've seen all our games. Have you missed the part where Bell has been our PG? If TS wasn't any better than Bell we probably wouldn't win a league game this year. Hard to measure how good TS is but I'm going out on a limb here and say thank God he's much better than any PG's we've put on the floor this year and probably since Ruff. Yes, I know the competition wasn't much but he could handle the ball ,had more assist's in the 1st half than Bell had all year, penetrated and score instead of throwing bricks off the board and last but not least he had a jumper that would end up in the net. I do like seeing Bell at the 2 in place of Grier who couldn't guard me or out shoot my 11 yr. old grandson. When we get Jones back Grier will get to spend a lot of time chatting with Nate.

No question TS made this team much better tonight. But I think he won't have it quite as easy against D1 guards he'll face. But he is definitely an upgrade at the point.
