It doesn't matter. We will still beat Eureka and still lose to everyone else until we have our full complement of players. And even then we might lose.

Can Mr. Jones still get be red-shirted? If so just let him heal and come back next season with 2 full years of eligibility.

To qualify for a medical redshirt, a player must not have played in more than 30% of the team's scheduled games. Warren has only played in 8 games which would qualify him if he decides to redshirt for this season. He would then have 2 more years of eligibilty

I had been wondering about that too. Amerson is sitting the year out. This would put both JC guards recruited last year to solve Bradley's shooting woes on the sidelines this year. It may be done but the results would not be pretty.

Jones was our backup point guard also.

                there are 3 requirements..

-you cannot play more than 30% of the scheduled games - so he's under that limit
-you cannot play beyond the mid-point of the season - so he's ok there
-but the medical reason has to be a season ending injury.

If they have already stated he should be back in 4-6 weeks, then NCAA would require some proof that the injury was season ending for him to get the redshirt

Lastly - maybe he wants to play this year - and he is our leading scorer and gives at least a better chance to win so I think he comes back to play

Yes, but he wasn't really recruited as a point guard...
Unfortunately, the guy who was brought in specifically to be our PG of the future doesn't even play...

This injury hurts Bradley more than any of the other injuries so far, IMO. Although I don't see Warren Jones as a star "piece of the puzzle" or a consistent go-to guy like Kirk Wessler does, he is the type of role player that does help a team. And he was especially key to Bradley improving this year because he and Amerson were brought in to help solve the shooting woes we have seen for the last 3 years, and Amerson was never eligible. Now we have both unavailable, which is a big blow. Plus Jones is capable, though not a standout as a backup point guard. Because of his absence, we will see more of Omari Grier, and the defense will suffer, and we will probably see more of Ka'Darryl Bell and Anthony Fields, and the offense will suffer. If Sutherland can return and be effective, that will lessen the loss a little, but TS still won't provide the offense that Jones would have.

The bottom line is that Bradley will struggle to score 50 points many nights. And we might struggle to score 40 tonight.

Jones has balls. The rest of the team struggles in that category.

                      Hey - I like Warren Jones....but wait....
last year we had a guy who averaged about 20 ppg and occasionally went for 30...and on top of that the guy was a decent PG and all-league in defensive skills....but people were happy to see him gone claiming he was bad for the team...

now we have a guy who averages a little over a dozen, once went for 30, has limited PG skills and defensive skills - in fact he's a defensive liability and our opponents are shooting very well from outside against us - and we label him a hero -- and will most certainly blame any upcoming loss on being without him.

Don't think he would make much difference tonight.

A lot of drama there. Who are these people who think Warren Jones is better than Walt Lemon? Who are you referring to?

                            For sure.
But now looking back, our offensive scheme is no better than when we had Walt's shakiness. At least he could play D and did provide scoring punch.
Gotta take it for what it's worth though T - where the heck do you think we're going to get our scoring from now?

                              Barnes,Cunningham,Grier, Sutherland soon,Morgan,Bell

I think these last 2 games Memphis and now KSU will help us progress.

Whatever the staff decides to do w/ Warren will have its pros and cons. I vote redshirt, over hype the injury.
