Thought you would find this interesting DC & T:

The Fighting Illini Fan Council is a platform for Season Ticket Holders to help shape the future of gameday at University of Illinois athletics events. Fans can contribute ideas and provide feedback on numerous topics while representing the interests of all U of I Season Ticket Holders.

Serving on the Fighting Illini Fan Council is your chance to be a part of a select group of important decision makers while enjoying the unique benefits and recognition that come with being a part of the group. The commitment is just four (4) meetings a year held at exclusive locations within and around the University of Illinois. These meetings are a fun way for members to share their opinions and perspectives, and develop recommendations in a focused, small group setting.

"One of our main goals heading into 2015 is to enhance the experience around Fighting Illini Athletics," said Director of Athletics Mike Thomas. "By forming this new group, DIA will have a direct line to our stakeholders that will help us make the most of every interaction with Illini Nation. This is the first in a series of new initiatives that we will be rolling out over the next few months and we look forward to engaging our most passionate Illini season-ticket holders and hearing their feedback."

do you think any ideas the fans come up with would appeal to anyone in charge?
... people have made suggestions many times in person, during those chat sessions, and here on the message boards where I know they do get read...
but I haven't seen any evidence that it does any good to make suggestions...

      Iliini Fan Council

This Fan Council is a terrific vehicle for providing the Athletic Dept. with a viable fan input. I have been advocating this for some time for Bradley but, of course, have had no response. My guess is that the last thing our AD or Pres. want is a Fan Council that communicates with them. The old Chiefs Club board provided this function and met regularly with the AD. In turn, the AD could air ideas out with the board before implementing them. It really worked well. Now all the Braves club does is hold raffles and some other minor fund raising but provides no input at all to the Ath. Dept....Too bad.

the membership of the Braves Club and higher levels of the donor groups has shrunk precipitously for that very reason - as I am sure wiz will concur...
a lot of people feel nobody cares about the fans ... except for what they donate
