The good-
Excellent game by freshman Josh Cunningham- 31 minutes, 7 points, and a game-high 12 rebounds.
Barnes looked good, 19 points/4 rebounds, especially in the 2nd half when many others disappeared.
Warren Jones showed hustle, and scored 10 points.
The bad-
Leading scorer Omari Grier had no points, and no assists.
Donte Thomas played only 5 minutes and was scoreless.
Big men Xzavier Taylor, Mike Shaw, and Jermaine Morgan combined had 8 points, 7 rebounds (Shaw zero), Zero assists, zero steals, zero blocks, 5 turnovers, and 11 personal fouls.
Ka'Darryl Bell played all 40 minutes and had just 1 basket and 2 assists.
The ugly-
After 5 games, Bradley has dropped into 10th place in the MVC in the following stats:
10th in points per game- 59 ppg
10th in Field Goal % with 36.9%
10th in Free Throw % with 60.7%
9th in points per shot attempt at 1.18 (Illinois State is at 1.11)
8th in assists to turnovers with 0.79
And despite all those ugly numbers, here is perhaps the ugliest- Bradley has accomplished all this, and the worst RPI in the MVC, by playing by far the worst Strength of Schedule of any MVC team, and it's not even close.
Bradley's SOS rank is 261. Only one other MVC team is even within about 100 slots of that abysmal number.
And Bradley's RPI of 281 (yes, I know "it's early") is also far worse than any other MVC team.
