They have an excellent shot at beating Loyola a third time. But Friday's noon game against Wichita (IF they win on Thursday night) will probably be painful.
I told my wife that if BU wins 2 games, I am going down there for the Saturday game. It isn't likely though.

Bradley did not get a single player on the All-Conference team, the Honorable Mention team, the All Defense team, or the All Freshman team.
Ironically, former East Peoria HS star Kylie Giebelhausen was named to the MVC All Freshman team. She had a great freshman season at Southern Illinois, was a starter, and became one of their better and more consistent players.
East Peoria graduate Kylie Giebelhausen of Southern Illinois on Wednesday was named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Freshman women’s basketball team.
Giebelhausen was among five players chose…
Does anyone know why Bradley didn't recruit her? I saw her play in high school, and it was obvious she had D1 talent and could play the perimeter at 6'1", and is a very good shooter and passer. Those are skills Bradley has mostly lacked this season.
The MVC Tournament starts tomorrow (Thursday, 3/12) with a round 1 game at 4:00 PM against Loyola.
I doubt there's an answer readily obtainable - a few reports about Kylie in local papers said frequently that she went to the camps at Bradley during her high school career, so Mike Brooks would have known about her.
But it doesn't look like Bradley has ever recruited her.
Bradley loses to the lower seed, Loyola 67-55...
BU shoots 27% (16-60!), Loyola 47% -
Loyola had 31 turnovers, giving Bradley far more possessions and 60 shot attempts to just 47 for Loyola.
end of season for the Lady Braves - 6-24
and end of the Michael Cross era at Bradley, as he stated his resignation becomes effective when Bradley's Women's BB season ends.
I am sorry to harp on the same old subjects, but I just cannot buy the "but they young" excuse. The team showed very little improvement as the season went along, right up to the final game today which was one of their worst. They were beaten by a bad Loyola team and shot a woeful 22% for the game. They have just continued making the same mistakes, and showing the same deficiencies that have from the start of the season.
They are a terrible offensive team, and are near the bottom of the league in almost every offensive category. They shot just 23% from three on the season, and lead the league by a mile in turnovers-649 on the season, almost 80 more than the next worst team. They were also next to last in assists, ahead of only an embarrassingly bad ISU team.
Unless the coach has a bunch of recruits next year that can dribble the ball and pass it without a flood of turnovers, and unless he has several recruits that can shoot better than 23% from three and 36% overall, this team is destined for another bottom of the league finish.
I cannot believe that there are actually people out there that want the women's basketball coach to return. He is simply not qualified. This is a terrible team and has not shown any improvement!!! They were terrible last year and even worse this year!
