Yale just went 10 minutes and scored only 6 pts so this is turning out to be a low scoring game
      Yale 27 - SIU 21 with a minute to go 1st half

6 turnovers no asst - Salukis needs a pg too
SIU ought to get a win tomorrow - now they face UIC

MVC now is under .500 vs. D-I opponents and many of the toughest games are yet to come

as early as the first couple weeks last year I saw that the Valley was down and yet it caused people to go ballistic saying you can't tell this early or these early season results are meaningless...

Well - meaningless or not they ARE an indication that the Valley is unfortunately weak again this year - save for two teams that look to at least be able to hold their own against other midmajors (Wichita, UNI)
Look for the Valley to be 12-14 in conference RPI unless we start seeing some key wins...
Valley teams picked to finish 5th, 6th, & 7th have suffered some pretty embarrassing losses already...

Marcus Marshall has 27 pts and he's trying to win the game all by himself - but it is backfiring...
he has zero assists, and they are putting Texas Tech on the FT line a ton (26-36)
Ex-BU recruit Alex Foster has just 2 pts for Texas Tech and is a deep sub - perhaps he should have aimed midmajor...
