Clearly, this team misses Walt Lemon. It is hard to lose an 18.0 pts. per game scorer, the best point guard on the team, main go-to guy, and the only guy who can create his own shots and set others up for easy shots. We have nobody now who can do those things, and we have no clutch players who want the ball when we need a basket. I know some people believe we are better off without Walt, but I think we will continue to struggle without having groomed anyone to take his place.

Walt's GPA will also be missed
"Walt Lemon, Jr. has become the first player in Braves history to be selected
the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as
well as the first player to become a 3-time, first-team Valley Scholar-Athlete."

Walt had his moments but I don't miss Walt. We certainly aren't going to win the Valley this year and with Walt we wouldn't either. We lost games we shouldn't have with Walt as well. We lost games by big margins as well too.
I don't believe we would ever have a team competing for a league championship with Walt at PG??¦??¦..

Walt was the 7th highest scorer in the 112 year history of Bradley basketball. He is in some pretty good company. And some of those on the list played on losing teams. Should they be denigrated because they played on losing teams? Roger Phegley played on non-winning teams his final 3 seasons at Bradley. Should we remove him from the list?

Not at all DC......he should be on that list....he scored what he scored.
Nobody said Walt was a PG but that's what he had to play...nobody said he was really a 2 guard either since he wasn't a great shooter
He had all the athleticism in the world and could defend like crazy...but we were never going to win with Walt playing the minutes he played particularly at the PG position. It's just the way it was
I notice he's the only PG on the list too.....

Walt was used to play a position he was never recruited for - literally forced to play out of position...
he did an incredible job but had extremely little help...the low assist numbers were due in large part to the complete lack of anyone else that could score or not fumble the balls out of bounds.
Had he transferred he'd have done well anywhere else but he stayed to help Bradley and fans do appreciate that.
Had he left in 2011, I strongly suspect that instead of the 37 games we won over those three seasons, it would have been under 20.
...we've already had a little taste of what the last couple years would have looked like had we had the guys Geno recruited (Fields/Bell) to play point guard...

hey I get it...you guys think Walt was great.......I think he really should have a 25 minute guy......it was on Geno to get some guys to play better and he didn't....quite frankly Walt never made anyone look better either like PG's typically do......
He's gone and a new season is here.....
