  • Bradley milk cartons

Has anyone seen the milk carton promotion that the Bradley ticket office has been sending out to former BU season ticket holders? I have just heard from a former season ticket holder who dropped her tickets 2 years ago when there were big price increases. She received a real milk carton in the mail from Bradley with a fuzzy picture on it that was supposed to be her, saying "Missing since 2012, Last seen at Carver Arena", and a letter asking her if she has seen this person and asking her to consider buying tickets again. She was very upset by it.

there are a couple far better ways to get those past season ticket holders back - but for some reason, they don't care to consider them

this admin keeps squandering the good situation that was handed to them back 6-8 years ago when donations were at record high and attendance was almost 10.000 enthusiastic fans

Wow... Somehow you're proving me wrong yet again. I didn't think they could possibly screw up more or be more ignorant to the way they alienating fans. I should have learned my lesson...

I've had calls the last two years but no milk cartons.

How about a milk carton looking for the "Bradley Defense" because it has been missing and not seen anywhere around Carver Arena!

I saw the milk carton back on October 27th and wrote about it on here the same day. I tried to put pictures of the cart on the post but my wife and I couldn't figure out how to do it. I think we still have the carton at Illini Golf if anyone wants to take a look at it. Some people thought it was an interesting idea while others thought it was pretty insulting and in poor taste to use a commercial campaign that was used for missing children. It was sponsored by Prairie Farms and they paid for everything. The carton has 4 sides with one side having a generic person with this written above it, "MISSING: Bradley Men's Basketball Season Ticket holder". Under the picture it had this caption:

                Name:
                Missing since: 2009
                Last seen: Carver Arena

The last thing on that side of the carton was "If you have seen this person please contact the Bradley Ticket office today! 309-677-2625". Another side bragged about us having the lowest season tickets in the MVC, starting at $110, that we are 2nd in the MVC in home attendance and talked about getting group ticket discounts. The 3rd side talked about the Marque Three game package (ISU Red, Wichita & and a non conference game) for the Civic Center and the 4 pack for $50 at the Ren Coliseum for a men's game that gives you 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 drinks. The 4th side had a picture of a cow with the Prairie Farms logo on it.

Yes, that is the exact description my friend gave me. I do not know how many fans received this milk carton promotion, but the impression I get is that only past season ticket holders in the better sections received them. Other ex-season ticket holders I have talked to have not gotten it.

The reason the fan I was referring so was upset, is that the implication on the milk carton is that the fan is somehow negligent or unloyal in dropping their tickets, when it was Bradley's substantial raise in ticket prices that caused this person (and many others) to drop their season tickets.
But I can see that some might be offended by the format of mocking a serious issue like missing children to try to attract former season ticket holders back.

The Bradley marketing department won a 3rd place award as well the that national convention. Congrats to Brett Burchette and Brooke Buzard on their efforts.
