omg - still claiming that everything we have seen is an aberration and that the closed scrimmage still proves they are a very good team ...
...finally some confirmation that Warren Jones & Grier really hurt the team with lack of defense - allowing opponents to hit about anything they want from outside -
and setting up more excuses - that Robert Morris really is a very good team despite losing twice already in huge blowouts...

Come on T. All Geno said about Robert Morris was that "they have an underlying confidence as a program that we can't take for granted." Dave then says they have averaged 23 wins as a program over the last 7 years, having played in 2 NCAA Tournaments and 3 NIT's during that span. Not too shabby. We had better be on 3 point alert as Marcquise Reed is 14 for 24 from deep. This should be a double digit win for us but we need to put the hammer down early and not give Robert Morris any hope about having a chance to win the game.

Robert Morris getting blown out big time for the 2nd game in a row...and the team that just clobbered them, Lafayette, is getting hammered by 30 today!

...they are down 69-38 early in 2nd half - this could get ugly...
Not one of RMU's starters has more than 4 pts...
Sure we ought to beat these guys easily - there is absolutely NO excuse - they will be dead tired by the time they deplane in Peoria.

BTW- UC-Davis hitting 75% from the floor in the 1st half in a blowout in their home opener..looks like they will depart the list of winless teams well before BU does...

Do you ever get tired of trying to bash Jim Les just to make yourself feel better about Bradley basketball being brought down to it's worst state in history by the changes the administration has made?

BTW, Bradley averaged well over 9,000 per game over the 9 seasons JL was coach, and repeatedly set records for revenues, donations, and Braves Club membership. What was the attendance last game?

We'd all like to see Geno turn this trainwreck around, but if it doesn't happen soon, there won't be many fans left.

If our goal was to set records for losing and drive down attendance by 50% or more, looks like we've succeeded. But then we could have just saved ourselves millions per year on coaching salaries, and just hired student volunteers.

And btw, the average attendance at UCD has actually gone up over JL's 3 seasons at UCD, compared with the 3 seasons prior. Wish we could say that.

I agree, that's not a good crowd at all - but it's still considerably BETTER than their opener last year and on par with their usual numbers early in the season...

but I am surprised you're comparing such a historically strong Top 6 or 7 conference member like Bradley with a school that's new to DI and was DII just a few years back...

BUT - there haven't been much more than that at any of our games the past couple years at Ren-Col

sticking my neck out but.....
I think several factors favor us winning....
they are making a long road trip west, they just got pummelled at UNC, our guys are well rested, our bigs are due for a good game, their returnees & big men have played poorly & they've had to rely a lot on freshmen, and their six returnees have combined in 2 games to shoot only 20.7% from the field!!!
I think we take a lead early and stretch it out to win 70-52 - attendance 5168 but maybe only half that butts-in-seat Nate Wells with 3 more blocks

I won't say much - doesn't need to be said...

Robert Morris is a horrid, horridly bad team - they may not beat anyone else all year...
and yet - they don't need to be any good to beat us - we beat ourselves with incredibly bad 2nd-grade-level passing, bad shot choice, endless clanked layups, and matador defense...we can't make shots from anywhere unless left wide open - which RMU kindly did for us a bunch otherwise we'd have scored in the 30's or 40's.

If we can't beat this team at home - then I can't see us beating anyone unless one of our opponents gets wiped out by bird-flu...

All the bragging about how deep & how tough we were in the paint - and yet another team of skinny freshmen badly OUTREBOUNDED us!!!

and if you didn't like Walt Lemon - then tell me what you think about Warren Jones...
Honestly we'd have lost by 20 without his 3-pointers and 4-point plays but his shots & turnovers take everyone else out of the game completely...
Took 18 shots- made only 6, had a ton of bad passes & turnovers, doesn't play defense, and had like 6 airballs --- it was a really bad Walt Lemon impersonation...

Thanks you Dr. Cross, Dr. Glasser, and the fans who were so sure this was a great move and that we couldn't possibly get any worse than we were -- cuz we are worse - by several light years...and I fear we haven't even seen the worst - how bad would Wichita beat us -- the scoreboard doesn't go to 200 points...
