  • Best Basketball Programs- Wall St. Journal

There is a very interesting article in todays Wall Street Journal on the best basketball programs over the years. This study is based on the 156 winningest schools plus other teams that have made the NCAA tournament the past five years..
The study stacks these schools against each other to determine which schools have the best winning percentage in head-to-head competition against each other.
Not surprisingly, Kentucky is #1 followed by Duke, Kansas, UCLA, and No. Carolina.
BUT, here's the real kicker! BRADLEY IS 33RD AMONG THIS ELITE GROUP AND IS CALLED "A SURPRISING MID-MAJOR", in addition to Dayton (32rd) and New Mexico (38th)!!
The article is in todays journal on page D9 and clearly puts BU as one of the great basketball schools in the history of the game.....Something most of us knew but somehow has been overlooked by our hardheaded, incapable, micro-managing, inept, sad, current administration and Athletic Department.
Further proof of just how far they have allowed our program to run down
and totally deteriorate. Our past high reputation and the respect BU Basketball had nationally was a tremendous asset to the university as much as
money in the bank and academic excellence. Now, our current administration has squandered this and each year things get worse. The trustees are completely feckless in allowing this to continue.

Bah. In the modern era we have been woefully average save a few island years with an over-achieving player.

      Best Basketball Programs....

Buesch n Chips....What in the world have you been smoking? Or, did you have a bad day in the office?

I don't know how you define the "modern Era", but since 1982 here are some of the wins Bradley has had...Kansas, Illinois, Pittsburgh, Texas El Paso, K-State, Cincy, Virginia, Wichita, Creighton, DePaul, Providence, Oklahoma, Syracuse. Five BU players played in the NBA, our game attendance was very high, and we won several tournaments.

On the other hand, if you define "Modern Er" as the past three years then you are 100% correct. We havn't really had any big wins. we've won no tournaments, and no one made it to the NBA.
