I will say, Bradley didn't do very well planning this one out. A big sold-out concert on campus and the MVC soccer semis are tonight. Sure you couldn't exactly predict that Bradley would have the 6pm game semi game tonight, but all-in-all if you want students to come to the game, they didn't afford themselves with a big opportunity for that tonight.Walk on, Walk on

well - they had to lock in on dates back in early summer - but I agree that Friday night games have generally been avoided as it's big nite for both HS football & HS basketball...
I know the HS basketball season isn't starting with real games but a couple of my own kids are going to their HS intrasquad scrimmages

yes, he did practice Thursday but listed as "may not play much"
..I notice in the coverage no prediction as they have always done...but shouldn't we be 15-20 pt favorites?
Everyone is saying we're better than last year, we have more depth, we're playing at home and everyone else rates us better
..so it's a bit of a slap that were only a 4 pt favorite?

thx......I sure hope we look better than a 6 pt favorite
..although the betting line has moved to Bradley -3.5 with a current payout of $15.70 on a winning $10 wager.. (1.57 to 1) & BU winning 61.1% of the time, UT-A 38.9%
but USA predicts a BU win purely because "...considering 1992 was the last time the team lost an opener in Peoria."
(although I still feel a little shaky since they have Barnes & Amerson as projected starters)

Neither a shocking exhibition loss, nor legal troubles for our senior, nor a host of injuries, nor negativity on this board (including longing for coaches of the past and rehashing administrative decisions ad nauseum), nor dwindling crowds, nor a weaker-than-we'd like schedule, nor a string of too many Thursday play-in games . . . can take away the excitement of opening night for a new season from this longtime Bradley fan.
Charge on, Bradley! Go, go BU! B-R-A-D-L-E-Y! Hail, Red and White!
Let's be 1-0 after tonight. And start the long climb back.
Good luck, Braves! I'll be cheering you from Section 1, Upper Bowl.Yajusneverno!

and most of us want better - not the status quo & mediocrity that some fans & some in charge seem to prefer
I'd love to go back to the days when we opened the season against a low level opponent or an opponent that was DII a couple years ago and
whipped them by 30 points or more instead of either losing or ekeing out a narrow win...

I am embarrassed to be at this game wearing red. This is horrible. Fire geno now. Freaking ridiculous. I was giving him benefit of doubt after the exhibition loss. Unless Sutherland is as good as kyrie Irving, we will struggle to win a single game in valley play.Gotta stop feeding the trolls.
