I heard he passed. Anyone know what happened. Another big loss for Peoria basketball.

Yes, I also heard he died this past Saturday. Ryan Bundy was a very good point guard for Peoria Central in the early 1990's. At Peoria Central, he played for Coach Chuck Buescher, and alongside Meechie Edwards (father of Dyricus Simms-Edwards), and A.J. Guyton.
He had a good career at Northwestern State University of Louisiana (1994-1998 ), and is still the career assists leader for NSU. He then worked for a brief time as an assistant athletic director there. For the last couple years he had been working as a vice president of an energy company.

He would have been only about 38 years old. I have not heard the cause of death.

I did not know Ryan personally but worked games he played in. His father was a friend of mine through officiating. So sad and so young. RIP Ryan Don't know what happened but heard he had a heart attack.

Ryan was also a pretty good golfer and we had heard through some of his golf friends that he had some heart trouble. Beau Smith of Louisville was also a former H.S. teammate. Ryan led Northwestern State all four years in assists and averaged about 8 points a game. By the way his college coach all 4 years was former Tulsa coach, when they were in the Valley, J.D. Barnett. Ryan was a great guy who could hit it a long way.

Knew Ryan's dad through work. Always liked playing behind him and his friends, usually at Newman. It was always fun to watch his drives go as far as mine would be after 2 shots, if I hit 2 great shots. RIP Ryan.
