  • Not good news for soccer or volleyball 10/25

Bradley soccer was shut out tonight (Sat. 10/25) at Missouri State to fall to 1-4 in the MVC, and 6-9-0 overall. Tough loss.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Missouri State scored early in the second half, then shortened the game with its trademarked pattern of constant substitutions to earn a 1-0 MVC win against Bradley Saturday night

And Volleyball fell in straight sets at Wichita State, 0-3, to fall to 0-11 in the MVC, and 0-21 overall.

    Discouraging for BU soccer -
BU has 3 more regular season games then the MVC Tourney & BU looks to have one of the bottom 3 seeds locked up for the tourney..
..also - in Jim DeRose's 19 seasons at Bradley he has only had double digit losses 4 times, and only failed 4 times to win 10 or more... and only 3 times did both occur
and I'm not sure BU has ever gone into the MVC Tourney as this low of a seed..

The soccer in the MVC has taken a big step backward. Just a few years ago the MVC had at least 3 teams spending time in the top 25 rankings (Bradley, Creighton, and Missouri State).

Now there are no teams anywhere close to the Top 25, none even getting votes in the coaches poll, and there is only 1 MVC team in the Top 100 in the NCAA's RPI rankings - Missouri State is at 86th in RPI
Get updated NCAA Men's Soccer DI rankings from every source, including coaches and national polls.

The standings show only 2 teams have an overall winning record, and only 1 team, MSU, has a winning record in the MVC and overall.
