Does anyone know what really happened here, or was alleged to have happened? I have seen stuff on other boards about rumors, but no one has actually posted these rumors. Can someone PM me if they don't want to post it publicly?

There are actually more things now out in the public than before, though SIU and the well behaved media and police in Carbondale are doing a pretty good job of keeping as much as possible from becoming public. But what I have heard from more than 1 SIU insider (and these facts seem to be widely known on the SIU campus) is that the issue involves an alleged sexual encounter that is claimed to be non-consensual. The Carbondale police have refused to prosecute, and they have turned it over to the university, and they are taking it seriously and enforcing their own Code of Conduct.
