and the Wichita State beat writer has already released his ballot for the preseason poll...

    Here's how he votes...

    1- Wichita State
    2- Northern Iowa
    3- Missouri State
    4- Evansville
    5- Indiana State
    6- SIU
    7- ISU
    8- Bradley
    9- Loyola
    10- Drake

...so yet another guy is picking Bradley as a Thursday team - maybe it'll be good lockerroom bulletin board material
Athlon kinda has the same opinion

I think that's true. After WSU and UNI, everyone else has major items to address, though most have attempted to address with recruits. If Sutherland, Shaw, and Cunningham can come in and be impact players, BU will do well. That's asking a lot however and since The Braves had the most addresses to make, it's easy to knock them down in the preseason. Bradley will have to produce on the court.

Missouri State writer publishes his ballot for the Preseason Poll in the Valley
He has Missouri State a bit higher than anyone else, and he had Bradley a bit lower - at #9
He calls ISU "a revolving door".

Here's how Lyndal Scranton listed the MVC
        1- Wichita
        2- Northern Iowa
        3- Missouri State
        4- Evansville
        5- ISU
        6- SIU
        7- Indiana State
        8- Drake
9- Bradley- "The Geno Ford era has been a disappointment and fans in basketball-proud Peoria might be growing impatient as year four begins."
10- Loyola- he says he dropped Loyola to #10 after Doyle's injury

BTW - a new feature on the Springfield (MO) News-Leader let's you search public & government salaries...
and Missouri State basketball coach Paul Lusk is currenty the highest paid public employee in the entire region

Lusk is also at the top of the list of MSU salaries

Paul Lusk $345,556.48. Missouri State was 20-13 last season (his 3rd season), RPI 87, and a non-conference SOS that was 186 slots better than Bradley's (302 vs. 116).

Compared to the salaries some schools pay, Lusk is a bargain.
By the way, he turned down an opportunity for a head coaching job in 2011 that offered him much more money.
