Geno is speaking at the Smoker tonight and spoke to Kiwanis yesterday - so there should be some good reports of what's being said....
if not then there's a few good sources to find out some things....
with all the injuries we have we can't afford ineligible players...

I have heard a couple reports from these events.....and will be careful what I say publicly as there's always a few who proclaim some of it is off the record...
(keep in mind that even the local newspaper has also printed 'off-the-record' stuff from the smoker in past years)

Geno is about 1/2 way to knowing a starting lineup and it's kinda the stuff we've talked about - although Geno certainly won't guarantee anyone by name just yet, but one guy who was already penciled in is now suspended - so a sub for him might be the only remaining healthy big guy-
Also - one guy stands out as a team leader and Geno thanks John Groce for that -
The freshmen are progressing well but pretty rare that we start the season with a freshman in the starting lineup.
Not much talk on the finance issues and legal issues - understandable everyone wants to shy away from that.

Also from Geno.....there are a couple players that some people were counting out of the rotation but who have shown significant improvement and will see a lot of playing time.

And there is a possibility that the roster could shrink by one pending a decision that is forthcoming. And I am not referring to Barnes, who is not going anywhere.
