Loyola has gotten a commitment from a 6'9", 230 pound 2015 junior college power forward. Maurice Kirby is currently at Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas. He is originally from Chandler, Arizona. He spent his freshman year and redshirted at Virginia Tech, then left when they changed coaches in April, 2014. He was recruited by and had an offer from Loyola out of Basha HS in Chandler, AZ, but then he committed to Virginia Tech in October, 2012.
Since he redshirted in his only year at Virginia Tech, he should have 3 years of eligibility at Loyola starting in 2015-16.
