The Civic Center lost a bundle last year...

The head of the Civic Center had projected a loss this year of $96,000
instead it turned out to be $875,000 !!!

Attendance at events DOWN 23%
Civic Center laying off, cutting staff by 25% (actually 54 to 40 full time employees is 26% cut)
..they blame the weather largely - but let's see if it rebounds 25% this year - if not, then it's a little more than the weather at play here
