Shouldn't Hersey be in there again?
What part of illegal don't you understand?

He stated it starts with Hersey's senior season, so that is why he included Hawk only once.
But of course, Hersey would be on that list at least twice more. Here are his averages:

      Senior 36.3 ppg
      Junior 27.2 ppg
      Sophomore 18.7 ppg
      Freshman 14.6 ppg

He also averaged 6.1, 5.7, 6.7, and 7.8 rebounds per game his four years- which is outstanding for a guard.
His shooting percentages were also incredible for a perimeter player- 58.1%, 54.2%, 53.3%, and 52.4%... 54% for his career!
By comparison, the best shooting percentage by a guard in the MVC last year was 48.4% by Fred Van Vleet, and since Hersey, few MVC guards have even come close to his shooting percentages.

of course he should, if you want - but I just arbitrarily stopped digging at a point...
as soon as I get time I will edit and add back to the Joe Stowell era...but it even further STRENGTHENS my point -

Bradley has had a player score 15 ppg or MORE almost every year except the first few Molinari years...then it has also become far less frequent since 2006 - with only three players doing it since we were Sweet Sixteen - and only two since 2008.
I hope we get back to having guys on this list...

Sorry, wasn't nitpicking. Guess I didn't read the whole thing, just started looking at names.

            .

well, we've played the weakest part of our schedule so far and right at this point
we DO NOT HAVE anyone averaging 15 ppg...

It's interesting to look at figures like this. It's kind of like looking at the Maris vs. Ruth home run debate in 1961. I wonder how many more points Phegley would have scored, if they had the 3 point shot back then, or Hawkins if they had the 3 point shot his freshman and sophomore year. Or you could include Mitchell Anderson, Chet Walker, Bobby Joe Mason, Sam Simmons, Bobby Humbles also, they didn't have the 3 point shot when they played. And as far as career points, I wonder how many more Walker, Joe Allen, Levern Tart, Sam Simmons and many more would have scored if freshman were allowed to play on the varsity when they were on the hilltop.

                interesting topic....

In Hersey's freshman & sophomore seasons combined he made 429 FG's,
and we see that when he played during the 3-pt rule (his Jr & Sr seasons) - roughly 20% of all his made baskets were 3-pointers.
Using that for extrapolation - then it would be reasonable to argue that Hersey would have at least 80 to 100 more career points had he played all four years during the 3-pt era. That would put Hersey's career scoring total at 3100 or so.

Using the same argument for Phegley is difficult because he didn't take a lot of long shots so there's not much to gauge by - but I think it's fair to say maybe another 100 pts to his totals, too.

Roger didn't take a lot of shots that would be 3 pointers , because you were only credited for 2 and were discouraged from taking that shot. He was a pure shooter and could have made that shot easily. One of the big advantages he had was the fact he was a 6-5 or 6-6 guard that could easily take his defender to the basket or shoot over the top of him.
