as noted...the last such arrest resulted in approximately 2 dozen separate threads and well over 500 posts & responses in addition to the 8-10 different columns covering it - even a Phil Luciano piece....
...so I'd say thus far, this arrest has been talked about 100 times LESS not more, and so what - people do want to know what is going on..

not to mention that more than once - and even with the DR arrest - there were people who felt the only place to find the accurate info was here - not the newspaper

.. I see it in those 5000 empty seats and the complete lack of any enthusiasm as the season draws near...
I may be wrong but I think what Lefty was saying is that people really don't care how the PJStar covers the Austin situation. Those 5000 empty seats have zero to do with the PJStar and if you believe it does well I'd be speechless. Those seats are empty because the last regime and the current one were and have not been able to make us contenders. Plain and simple

I think it is a fair point - but some fans seem to be getting the blame for the hideous W-L record of late and the bad press

... this town has thousands of BU fans who want good basketball and fair media coverage...

the undeniable decline in both started around 2009-2010 and has progressed plenty since then - so you can decide who is responsible and who is to blame...
I am just point it out - and I know several thousand other fans are speaking even louder by staying home.....
Feel free to blame me or other fans as some are - but that's juvenile and silly......
I just want what most people want - good basketball - fair coverage - that's all.... but i'd like to see someone step up and git-r-dun before I am the only one left...

Do you sincerely think people blame you for the teams record? That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read unless you are actually Jim les posting on this board.

And before anyone says it no I am not blaming Jim Les for the current situation.
          Gotta stop feeding the trolls.

Because I know people who do blame him. I don't. And I will say it again, unless tornado is Jim les no one blames him for the teams record.

I personally have been told to my face by posters here and on the other board that "if it wasn't for people like you, we would have gotten rid of Jim Les sooner" and "that is why we are in the situation we are in".

And those people know who they are.

Now that kind of logic is truly laughable.

DC I concede there has been a big difference but it is pointless to point it out over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

                          And over.

It's ridiculous. Fans are butts in seats. If people on the hilltop are listening to fans, we've got big problems.

Pretty much everything discussed on any message board could then be called pointless.
Why do some get so upset when anyone points out hypocrisy in the local paper?

I dont care what the PJStar covers and doesnt cover. I take a look at what they have on BU basketball and read it if it interests me and dont if it doesnt. When I read the information they post I take from it what interests me and the rest goes in one ear and out the other. I am sure as in everything else in life the relationship Geno has with the PJSTAR and the relationship Jim had with them has a great deal to do with the coverage.

The past has come a gone, let it go. I am hoping for better things to come.
