As you know - NCAA has handed the BIG five conferences the right to make their own rules, and it is clear they will start changing rules to give them substantial advantages over smaller schools...
they will begin paying players, and possibly increase the scholarship limit so they can pack their benches with players who would have starred at mid-majors..
Dr. Cross has gone on record as opposing a lot of the new changes so I can surmise he is NOT a fan of paying the athletes...
Other MVC schools clearly DO favor paying athletes - especially basketball in order to remain competitive...
Wichita State, Missouri State, Drake, & UNI have all said they would likely also start paying the "stipend" to basketball players
I would expect some statement from Bradley soon on this....which direction we will go...
